Johnny sounds like your just being a smart a$$ to Don. Thats just like saying the only reason why you got to 10.40's is beacuse you stripped your truck down to 3800lbs and that you race at Cecil the world's quickest track. So if you put the weight back in the truck to 4700lbs you might be running 11.0's. Don has gone that fast with full interior, sway bar, spare tire, tail gate, and tipping the scales at 4800lbs. With a 3.00 upper pulley and 8lb lower not a 10 rib pulley the size of a quater and a 10lb lower. This phenolic spacer BS is just that. I've installed over 25 KB's in the past 4 months or so with 4 KB failures and 3 of them did not have a phenolic spacer! One however did fail and the blower failed within the first 20feet of the owner driving it and that was because the gears in the case had locked up. Jim Bell did warranty them all. As for the top plate, wether its the bolts in the phenolic spacer kit or using the factory Eaton bolts they were a hundred thousandths to long and the only thing the did was hit the outter edge of the case which is impossible and I repeat again impossible to cause any type of damage to the blower. Maybe KB is going to void warranty now for over spinning the blower, excessive nose cone pressure from 10 rib pulleys or aftermarket belt tensioners, ALL of these you promote because you run them on your truck. I think your just pissed because I install more KB's than you do. It is official now that KB is not the only blower that can get our Trucks into the 10's. It has been done with a Magnum blower. Magnum powers which will be out in magazines in about two months. Im gonna let this go for now because I dont wanna get this thread closed.

If the Magnum is so capable of running 10s at 2/3rds the price of a KB, why are you installing KB blowers?

The MP are still in the works. They will be out soon. I'm sure you will see plenty of people running them next season. As to which is the better blower...I don't know chit about either one!

There are several pre production units floating around for testing. I witnessed a HD run with one at Epping.

Johnny is only relaying a message from Kenne Bell. Don't shoot the messanger
just because you don't like the message. Mayber JDM will start giving out free
hair tonic with their magic spacers.

Johnny sounds like your just being a smart a$$ to Don.

Well jimmy, Don knows better than that! i have nothing bad to say about don at all he's always been very freindly and willing to lend a helping hand (with no strings attached)...

Don, if i offended you with that statement then i want to apoligize...

jimmy, my truck weighed 4,200 lbs. when i made that 10.4 pass and weighed 4300 @ ET when i went 10.6 How did u come up with 3800#?(you tell everybody the same thing about charlies truck) His 10.5 pass was @ 4,350#! not under 4,000#!.. My boost has yet to be past 22# but soon will be 25# here shortly,Also you have your engine builder build your engines with higher compression thats why you can't run high boost levels. thats not to hard to figure out.. You state that you install more KB's than i do! come on jimmy we know better than that....How do you know how many KB's we have sold and installed? (i know how many you have purchased) and not 1 of them were purchased thru Kenne Bell) ... You say Maybe KB is going to void the warranty because of overspinning, excessive nose cone pressure. aftermarket belt tensioners,10 rib pullies, all that i promote? I didn't see any of that in the e-mail i recieved and posted... you also say i promote the 10 rib setup. i do? i havn't sold any of these setups to the public we just installed them on a *few* of our trucks here @ the shop!..I'm not the 1 who made a decision on your spacer kit it was KB i could care less myself..So why be sore at me? if you have a problem with it talk to Jim @ KB... you state its offical now that KB isn't the only blower to promote a 10 sec. pass and we should wait for the magazine to come out. well to be honest i don't believe everything i read.sometimes things seem to get left out or things are not told that should have been. you know what i mean.. . Nov 8th is going to be 1 of the final lightning gatherings @ The *worlds fastest* track CECIL! maybe you can bring the 10 sec. truck with the MC. and show everybody 1st hand how the MC can produce a 10 sec. truck. You see jim you have been telling everyone since day 1 that Your *tuning Abilities * Are far much supierior than JLP or anybody else as far as that goes. but your finding out differently... As far as don goes i'll say it again i never tried to be smart to don and i hope don you understand that.. JL

Is it safe for me to assume that Johnny Lightning and the JDM team won't be having Thanksgiving together this year?

I'm glad my children act more mature than them.

Johnny...if the phenoloc spacers interfered with the longevity of the KB I would not install them on my customers trucks, this all started when JJ took apart Nuno's engine and found that the bolts used in installing the phenolic spacers were too long, it dosen't interfer with the rotor packs and the spacer dosen't interfer in the clearance to the fire wall. The worst that can happen do to long bolts is cause a small vaccum leak, hence the bolts with our kits now come with one hundred thousandths shorter ones now. You were the messanger whom posted this private message from Jim Bell.

I have no idea why you always defend you're tuning abilities?

Our engines from day 1 to this day are 8 to 1 compression. I only run 18-20 lbs of boost because thats all thats needed to run in the 10's.

Now for CECIL on Nov,8th I will be more than happy to show up with the truck at Full weight and run 10's on the magnum powers. Since your incharge of the amount of people that are allowed to show up, YOU would have to get me a spot and gaurantee me one run because there is no cage in the vehicle yet.

Since you are the internet distributer of the KB you should know the warranty limits of the KB... would you please post the list of what you can and can not do with these blowers with out voiding warranty on them.

Since we have the most customers on the planet running KB's I would like them to be fully aware of warranty issues, even if that means the phenolic spacer. I assume your blower warranty is out the window with all the hacksawing you did to it!

Now for one more thing Ill show up at CECIL with a 10 sec magnum blower truck. After the race is over we'll take your to a certified scale which is about 8 miles from Cecil then you can finally prove how much you're truck does weigh. Last year at Tuner shootout you weighed 4300lbs with bed cover, consoul, passenger seat, and you still had the factory front end. You've taken over 200 lbs of the front end when you went to the tubular front end and rack and pinoin. Then if you remove the heavy bed cover, pass seat, consoul, and what ever else you can take out then Id imagine you'd weigh less then you did at the shootout. I do believe Charlies truck does weigh over 4000 lbs.

Jim@JDM

p.s. contact me about Cecil so I have a gauranteed spot to run.

What hacksawing did i do to the blower?

Your tooooo funny jimmy....

As far as the warranty issues i will let KB handle all of the details. i wouldn't want to mislead anybody on what can be done and not......

As far as getting you a spot @ cecil i'll see what i can do...

So i understand this correctly, your going to show up with a lightning @ *full* weight. with the MC and run 10's? This is of course without NO2 isn't it? Is this with the 5.4 sohc engine? or is there more to this puzzel? JL
