jim, i spoke to someone about this and they said No Way! Safety First!... How about asking don to let the MC be bolted to his truck and run a 10? this way the track officials are happy, don is happy to get his 10,(along with us all) and you will be happy to prove the power of the MC.

What I need to know is do I have a spot b/c I did not pre register. The deal is I run a 10 with a magnum power blower and then we take your truck to a certified scale the same way you raced it that day. I will have a truck with a certified cage in it, and no Nitrous on my truck or yours.

My profile, or user ID is meant as a inside joke to those that knew who I was in the past.

If you check who has the same birthday as the one I listed, you will have yet one more clue as to who I am.

See ya at Cecil.

this is really entertaining.... if it were any one but JLP and JDM, this would have been closed and deleted by DUG&Co.

Jim@JDM

HELL YES!
that is what I've been waiting to hear since I first heard of the Magnum powers blower option for a lightning!

I could care less about anyones opinion (tuners or owners) But in my opinion, if a MP Blower is capable of 10's and cost 1/2 the price of a KB, why would you waste the extra $2k for a KB?

DAMN I WANT ONE OF THESE!

Thanks JDM for producing this.
Thank JLP for being an innovator with Lightnings.

This is what I like! Competition only makes the product better for the consumer. Everyone benefits in the end

I don’t really care about who runs what and with what blower in this, but I would like to know more about this…

Johnny do you have some pics of this?

Are you retaining the power steering?

Grey03,

I'm just jackin' with you. It's no skin off of my nose if you want to keep your identity a secret. I definitely don't want to work that hard to figure it out.

One more thing Jim, why are you so hung up on running your trucks at full weight? I noticed V was totally de-weighted for his 11.0 runs, so why burden yourself and whatever L you race with having to push more weight than is needed?

Well Yes and No to that. I take out my MTX box (does not come in a stock L, Hard Tonneau cover (again does not come in a stock L), Passenger seat (I have them cut so the console stays in the L), tailgate (I'll give you that one) ,rollpan, hitch and spare .

But my FAT-*** does weigh about 280 or 2 JJs. Fully deweighted with me in it is 4740 (definately not the lightest L around).

Basically if 90% of the L owners was driving my L , it would have been a 10 sec. pass.

BTW- I had to try and bracket so I added 600 lbs back on( Full weight plus a couple hundred lbs. in the back and still ran a 11.89 @ 5350. I had to let off to run a 12 w/ the set-up.

Now it sounds like your trying to turn this into some challenge or something... The SSOTN day is a day for which we all can *let our hair down so to speak* and *ENJOY* the day. not turn it into some kind of challenge. JLP vs. JDM or any other company as far as that goes.. Cecil has a scale there i'll be more than happy to weigh my truck after a pass. No Biggie! I know its always some kind of Challenge with you. I don't care what you do or how you do it.. I won't get caught up in your little game. because we know thats what you live for..As far as getting you a spot @ SSOTN i have a few spots left but i have a few guys that are getting back with me on those spots.....JL

Sorry for a little hijack, but is the scale at Cecil free for use? How do you go about using it, just pull off after you get the timeslip?
