Calling Johnny Lightning
Hey, JL, in the PURE interest of blower differences, how about you and Kenne get ahold of me to arrange both a mutual time and place to test both the KB and WORKS blowers? Works has already agreed, just hoping you guys would agree as well, and maybe solve some of the hear-say on the boards.
Same truck, same day, same dyno, same tuner (for obvious reasons that a chip will be needed). Kenne and his guys can come, and so can the WORKS people.
What do you say??

yeah, if it'll make you happy, I'll put my muffler back on...
Hey, I didn't say anything about keeping them... but if they happen to "accidently" let me "borrow" one for a long long long time, I won't complain. I just want the BS to stop.
And I see no reason why KB wouldn't take up this offer unless he wasn't sure of his product (NOT bashing, just an observation on my part)

Blackbolt- I wouldn't hold my breathe waiting for this to happen. More than likely someone is going to have to purchase both blowers or two people get together with one of each and do this testing themselves.

For the most part, this offer started in all good fun, but I sayed to myself, "Self, if WORKS say yes, why wouldn't KB?"
Sorry, just being silly now.
Last chance KB, Hey, you know what, I just realized I know a guy who works for KB, I'll speak with him. JL doesn't seem to want to respond.

I want it all to go to rest as well..... Both are nice blowers for sure..... But I Love the REAR ENTRY look....

KB, is right out near you right? I would go to them direct and see what you can get....

Uh, maybe Johnny hasn't been on the board recently. Its what 3 in the morning east cost time?
This was posted 8 hours ago so that was what 7pm. I eat dinner at 7pm....not jumping your back, just my observation (I want to see the dyno test too!).
I could be wrong, but from the little bit that I saw he seemed pretty confident in it. We've got a 1/4 mile times at 20 psi on the kb at 11.04@123 right? But in the other corner we've got dyno sheets from the works 140.
hmmmm. Why not a good old fashon heads up race. Regardless of what you do there is still going to be bickering going on. I like the idea though, let the product speak for itself. Cost is the biggest issue with me.:

The only problem I see in a heads up comparison is the intake. The Works does come with a new intake because it is rear fed. The Kenne Bell does not, and uses the stock intake at this time. I think this could lead to a restriction at higher boost levels. I believe I read that they were doing a different intake for the Kenne Bell and I would consider that a fair comparison. I don't know that you can ever prove which blower makes more power without being able to use the same intake.
Just a opinion...
Thanks Mike

The KB has alerady proven itself as a great upgrade. I believe the Works will as well. Even if the blowers are tested on the same truck, whos chip will they run? Will the chip be the same for both or will they both have different chips. This will change things, even with the same chip, both blowers may need differnt changes.
I would like to have a comparison of what pulley combo is needed to produce X # ol boost. This will have to be done on the same truck as it will be different on a truck that had head/cams and one that did not. Also at each setting (example-20psi) how hot is the air after the blower? Also how far can we push each before they start to generate too much heat or use more HP than making.

a side by side is pointless. each probably has its strong points at different boost levels and rpm, the real question, and what should be the desiding factor is the quality and durability of the kit. who wants somthing that makes 20 more hp but craps out after 5000 miles.
