No what is funny to me is that a Works 112 powered truck ran a 11.96@114 with a crappy (but good for California) 1.79 60ft. At a track that is at 1500' So let's run a correction factor, and take what, .2 off? And add 2mph? So we have a 112 running 11.7@116 with a stock motor running about 15lbs of boost.

Then lets take your Charlie and Eric. Both ran those times at Cecil County 320' (one of the best hooking tracks if I'm not mistaken), where Eric was running 17psi and Charile was running 20psi.

Thinking logically, if we turn the boost up 2psi with the works to make it even with Eric, that'll take him to around .1 slower than the *NEW*(and BIGGER displacement) KB?? And was Eric or Charlie running full street weight? Or do they strip their trucks like JL? I won't even go into time reductions for weight. And going by Eric's site, running a 2800 stall converter? Doesn't that take of ATLEAST .2?? Hate to see what the 112 could do with the same mods and boost level as the *NEW* KB. (See, I can nit pick too) By the way, was there a inner-office memo amoungst you cheerleaders to keep putting "*NEW*" in front of KB. Because all that shows me is that KB knew he was screwed with his first design and had to make his blower bigger to even compete with a 112.

You know what, KB/JL, DON'T respond to this thread, in fact, close the damn thing. I've made my choice. Between KB/JL not answering, the JL cheerleaders picking at ANYTHING to make WORKS or PSP look bad, and honestly, when I buy my blower, I don't want to have to go back and buy the rest of the kit a few months later, plus the overall better efficiency of the WORKS (rear inlet compared to top inlet), I know which one is better, imo.

We in the Southern California Lightning Owners Club believe in the most important thing. We run at full dress... That means Tonneau, no skinnies, no weight savings. Just like on the street.

Cecil County IS the #1 track known for the best times.

I would like them to back those times up out here

Just to keep rubbing salt in the wound.

Taken from Kennebell.net
"Comparison dyno tests by Richard Holdener, technical editor for Truckin' and Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords magazines clearly indicate the Kenne Bell BLOWZILLA Twin Screw produced a whopping 511 rear wheel HP vs 415HP for the Roots. Both were equipped with only a larger throttle body and big inlet system. With a Kenne Bell SWITCH CHIP® in the "POWER" position, and identical 9"x2¾ pulleys, the twin screw made 531HP. We felt that might be the limit for 100 octane unleaded, so we never flipped to the "SHOOT OUT" position of the SWITCH CHIP® with it's more aggressive spark timing. We slipped on a 2½" pulley and the mighty Lightning responded with 548HP and a pavement shredding 630 ft lbs of torque. A larger meter, extrude honed inlet and underdrive pullies can push power to 560+HP or 200HP more than stock."

Even though we all know these test were doctored. Pretending their true, with the KB pushing max boost, and "a lager meter, extrude honed inlet and underive pullies" the truck "CAN push power to 560+ HP"

Funny with 18 psi, Calightnin was doing 568.8 HP

Good thing they didn't flip the switch to "SHOOT OUT" mode, b/c they'd probably spun the dyno right out of the ground.

You guys are right, this will be a fun year. Good times to be had by all. But the guys who want to be faster, I see alot of used blowers in the classifieds going for cheap.

Didn't I read somewhere that the dude from Truckin' later took off that blower b/c they kept having problems with it?

Au contraire, mon frere. Although ATI suggested a head-to-head challenge after being sued by Vortech, and Vortech refused, both ATI and Vortech recently participated in a side-by-side test of RealStreet blowers. I have not yet seen the article, but it is apparently in this month's issue of 5.0 Mustang.

Most likely you are going to have to buy the KB blower yourself for a comparison b/n the two.

I am sure that some of you will bash JL for not replying or even saying yes to this idea, but you have to understand that he is selling all the KB's that he can get his hands on and neither KB or JL have one laying around for just testing purposes, and even if they did they would then have to sell the tested unit as a used unit and get less $$ for it.
Lame excuse. Either vendor can afford that small cost. I would take just $200 off 10 times out of 10.

As you can see from THE REST OF MY POST, that you obviously didn't read. I stated that I could see KB doing a test for a magazine. I just can't see them setting up a test for just anyone. That was already made clear in the first couple sentences. Below is a snippet from the beginning of my post.

........I can see KB taking the time for a magazine article or something or that nature. Think about it, some guy off the boards calls your business asking for a showdown? I'm sure this kind of crap happens all the time and they don't have time for it......

Chill out, my brotha.

You are 100% correct, 99. I was just pointing out that an ATI-Vortech test had recently been done. I should have been clearer that you had left that possibility open. I am sorry if I offended you--I didn't mean to.
