FYI - things to look for ...

Picked up my 03 today - here's the deal ...

1 front bumper cover full of scuff marks and scratches

2 no SVT sticker on the air box

3 didn't put my locking wheel nuts on

4 looks like the lot detailer/setup man put a buffing wheel on
the front fender for some unknown reason and left buff
marks...

5 again set-up man used a pair of pliers to put the antenna on
and chewed the F' paint off the bottom of the antenna

6 no rear hitch ball hole cover

So far that's all I've found - at least it had the right tranny dipstick ...

BTW, the truck was shipped via Rail ...

For some reason, they didnt install my wheel locks either. Were in the glove box.

I hope you didnt accept delivery in that condition!

My wheel locks were in the glove box too as well as a bag with wiring and relays (NO Gigi not 'those relays') for the hitch.

How many miles were on it when you picked it up? Maybe someone drove it for test drive.

Sorry to hear you had problems. I hear you can call 800-fordsvt and let them know about it.

Peace, Suavy

You should have refused delivery until issues were taken care of... now will be harder to get them to do anything once you "drove it off the lot". You should have gotten locking wheel nuts, but mine were not installed either but in glove box. Complain about that as well, as they are not cheap!

what I think ...

Truck was shipped via Rail - I think the dealer prep person F'd up the bumper as these are shipped with a plastic film on them. So this little JackA$$ must have done the scratches taking the film off. It also looks like he put the antenna on with a pair of rusty pliers and chewed up the base of the antenna all scratched up and paint is off it ... -

Here's another issue I just discovered - going over the paperwork there is an entry on the paperwork for $179.00 for "security system" - it seems the dealer decided to charge me $179.00 for the security (passive system) that comes standard with all the trucks... Needless to say I am more than PISSED ....

You know a big part of the problem with these trucks is - they cause the less fortunate to have jealousy issues... that could be what's going on here ...

So typical of the kind of ***** that goes on in this area of the Country...

Depends on how much of a hassle you want to put up with, but I bought a set of wheel locks from www.fordpartsonline.com for about $38. Or you could call at 1-800-549-2005. They are a Ford dealer out in Calif

I know it can be frustrating to pick up a new vehicle and see some problems like you have, but they can be easily remedied. I'm sure you can get them to give you some locking lug nuts (did you check your glove ompartment where others found theirs?). Get them to order you another front bumper cover (somebody else had this problem on the forum and the dealer ordered them a new cover) and have the detail shop buff out the fender. SVT sticker sould be easy enough to take care of and have them replace the antenna. You'd be surprised what some new vehicles look like when they first come into the processing center. I've seen some that need to be practically rebuilt and you would never know it once the finished with it. Work with your dealer and I'm sure they will work with you. Good luck with your new truck.

The wheel locks were in the glove box - hmmmmmmmmmmmm - wheel locks, wheel locks, wheel locks (scratching head) shouldn't they be on the F U V K I N ' wheels ...

Yup - I be thinking they should -

and the $179.00 dollar FEE for the standard factory alarm - that's just da' *****... these F'in people should be dragged out and shot in the F'in eyeball ...
