BTW ... All Glass comes etched from the factory with the VIN
My 02 L wasn't etched. When I picked up my 02 F350 the dealer had already etched the windows. It was done before I bought the truck, so it was my choice to take the truck and pay for the etching or buy one without the etching. This is a favorite trick dealers do to make up some more money when you buy under one of Ford's employee or friends plan.

update - for those who care ...

Saw sales manager today - here's the deal -

Will re-paint my front bumper "to my satisfaction" regardless of how many times it may need to be done ...

Will fix or replace everything else - SVT sticker, antenna, tailgate cable...

Will give me a loaner while truck is in paint shop...

Refunded the $179.00 but will still be enrolled in the etching program ...

Put that $179.00 back in my pocket and proceeded to a vendor and purchased a Viper 550 ESP alarm with the remote start option...

So all in all I would say it was a good day...

thanks for all your support-

SH

Oh and BTW -

The glass does "NOT" come etched from the factory ...

This is an aftermarket program that the Dealers use to score some more quick cash when (as previously stated - they feel they may have not made enough on the original deal) They also use the phoney document prep fee bull***** ... Between the two they can recover anywhere from $500.00 to $700.00 ...
