Yell at everyone for your problem. That's surely going to make
friends and influence enemies. You may not be a 12 year old but
you sure do play one on the forums pretty well.

now I'm 12 years old...

If you took the time to read the posts you would clearly see I haven't yelled at anyone other than you -

Upset - you betcha' - and I think you would be as well if the roles were reversed... Do you have anything contructive to say ... other than baiting me into a flame war - come on -

As I stated a few posts back the Dealer is willing to work to satisfy my problems for that I'm happy - appreciate all those that chimed in with constructive things to say and support -

And shame on those that took the oppourtunity to try to incite someone who was clearly upset over a bad situation ... I thought we were hear to help one another not antagonize and kick when one is down...

My original posts were constructive. Sorry if you saw them
otherwise. BTW, how's it feel when your problems and
complaints are minimized and ridiculed by fellow members?

Fun huh?

Why the heck are you guys bashing sonichog? He came off a heck of a lot more polite than many other dealer related posts I have seen here. I personally woulda been a bit more demanding than he was, and admire his tact.

Seems like a few other people need to grow up here, unless it is all just displacement of the flames that were formerly used for vendor wars... venting all that pent up hot air.

I've got a question reguarding scratches on the front "bumper". I just picked up my '03 on 1/10/03. I noticed the scratches before I left the dealership so they wrote it up and plan to fix it when they can pry me out of the thing. Now to my question. They are planning to have the bumper cover repaired, not replaced. Should I insist they replace it? Do I have any "power" concerning this? Or should I just go through SVT?

Thanks for your help...I would rather have them replace it because I would know it had been there and only "covered up".

are you talking about the scratches under the front lip? If so they will just paint that. The reason for those under the front lip, is when unloading the Lightning off the trailers. Mine was all *****ed-up underneath but unless you know it, you'll never see it. I got a bug-shield out of the dealer for the scratches and the bug shield is still hanging in the garage

Before I got sidetracked above I meant to talk about the window etching. It did not come on my truck, but I was given the option to have it done. I opted for it, and the sales guy did the job in all of 5 minutes. All it takes are some stencils and glass etching acid. Once they entered the number into the system, it was done. Other L's I have seen on the showroom floor did not have it standard, rather its an option they try to sell you, and is done at the dealership.

FG-I am talking about under the front lip. There are 2 or 3 pretty deep gouges down into the plastic, with sort of a ribbon of the plastic along the side of the scratch. The dealer was quick to offer to fix the problem. I just read where the cover had been replaced because of scratches and wanted to make sure I wasn’t being taken for a ride.
Thanks for the info.
