replacing carpet in 01 F150 supercab lariat

One of the many projects I hope to accomplish is replacing the carpet in my truck. I tried to find articles but there doesn't seem to be many that answer the questions I have. First. Where is the best place to buy replacement carpet? Ford or aftermarket vendor? If someone has done this and can make a recommendation I would really appreciate it. Second. Has anyone written an article about removing the seats and console? Third. I would like to put sound deadening material in before putting in the new carpet. Has anyone done this? Is there an article? Can anyone recommend a product? I recently read an article in an off road magazine that featured a product but it is not listed on any website yet. Not even on the company website that is featured in the article! Any advise will be appreciated. Thanks. Steve M.

Click on the start button

Click on Ford

Click on your year...2001

Click on f150

Click on engine size

click on body interior

Click on carpet

Navigate through the catalog until you find carpet. Look at the ones that have the mass backing.

You can try jcwhitney also or maybe LMC.

Some instructions....>>>https://www.f150online.com/forums/ca...t-97-f150.html

Ya they're old but they're for a 97 so your 2001 is about the same....

To find that thread I used the search box at the top of the page.....I typed in " how to replace carpet in a 2001 supercab"

I found the carpet selections. Now I just need to make some $$ and choose the right color, etc. I am thinking about adding Eastwood sound deadening material before I replace the carpet. This should really reduce road noise and heat infiltration. If I go with that I may buy the carpet without the mass backing. I will post a thread when I decide and then post photos of the project once it gets underway. SMM

I just got done (sort of) with replacing the carpet in my '99. Went with the Nifty Pro-Line black carpet and trust me it's a total POS compared to the Ford stock carpet. Do a Google search, or directly on here, for "High Quality Replacement Carpet F-150", there are more details in that thread.

I'm now debating (hence the "sort of" above) on trying to find the Ford carpet and putting it back in there, unfortunately it has been discontinued for the 1999-2003 year. If you find anything worth a dime as far as aftermarket carpet goes please let me know.

Try stockinteriors.com. Replaced my rubber mat with carpet cost me $120. It was a direct fit, been in for 4 years now. still looks new.

Thanks for the updates. I may remove the old carpet and have it cleaned professionally before reinstalling it. The previous owner of my truck took great care of it. In fact, it has been covered most of the time with the drop in rubber mats that keep spills off the carpet. I'll let you know.
