Post How to remove Carpet in a 97 F150 ?

Hey guys. A few days ago an ******* in a astro fan pulled right in front of me and a bottle of arrowhead water spilled everywhere on the way to work. I wasnt able to clean or soak up the water, i hadto get inside the office. My father owns a professional dry cleaning business and i wanted to know the details on how difficult it is to take out the f150 floor carpet so i can have it cleaned. Its all stinky from meldew and its a nightmare..
Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks guys!

Dude!!! Don't cut the carpet, it will never fit right again. I took the carpet out of my supercab in about 45 minutes, piece of cake. From your sig, I see you have a regular cab, shouldn't take more than 30 mins to get it out, maybe a little longer to put everything back in.

Cool

To remove carpet:
Remove rear seats (if you have any) by pulling up headrest/back. Unbolt seats and seatbelt. Remove.

Unbolt front seat and center seatbelt.
Both seats and belts use different size torx fasteners. Get a set at the store.
Disconnect the driver seat wires.
Pull out the seats.

Pull up side rails / kickpanel plastic.
Yank out the carpet.

Install is reverse.

Reg cap should take 15 minutes to pull.
Ext cap 30 minutes and some cuss words.

I used to put the carpet in on the assembly line when i was on summer break from school. It might sound confusing, but all you have to do is take up the spots that have been mentioned, and one peice will pull out. Well worth the extra 5 mins or so over cutting it.
