Upgrading 2014 Headlights to OEM HID and need help

I was wondering what I would need to convert my OEM halogens to the Ford OEM HID’s. I know I need the assemblies but are the ballasts, bulbs, and harness all sold separately? I want to go OEM. I want an upgrade that will be easy to remove and resell should I decide to trade in. So, what Ford part #’s do I need? I want them in black of course and I want to be able to plug n play.

It seems to me someone in the past recommended upgraded bulbs (I would like 5500K and very bright if possible) and a different brand harness but I simply cannot locate that thread.

Go with Osram CBI bulbs then for the brightest and white output. And theretrofitsource.com has the conversion harness.
Some headlights come with bulbs and ballasts some don't. I know the ones at TRS you could order duty the upgraded bulbs and OEM ballasts.

Here is the harness. https://www.theretrofitsource.com/co...l#.VrkePJ9OnqA

And here are the CBIs you'll want. https://www.theretrofitsource.com/co...l#.VrkewJ9OnqA

Here are the gray headlight part number. Make sure you get genuine or you'll be disappoint. Genuine usually go fit $900 a pair.

So buy the OEM housings and then that harness and bulbs? If I buy the housing from Tasca I guess it comes with all the dust covers and all that.

If you buy the housings it "should" have everything on the outside. But you'll need ballasts too

I wish TRS still sold the housings. They were a great price and it was a one stop shop for everything.

Yeah, me too. I think I am going to order the decontented assemblies, OEM ballasts, clips, boots, screws and such then the harness and bulbs you mentioned. That should hopefully be all I need. I am doing my fogs to so that will complete the blackout of the front of my truck and should look good.

We're doing a group buy from TRS if you want to get the other parts to complete your retro.

Well tax money hit, paid off all my credit cards and not enough left to go OEM. So, retrofit it is! Time to look at the group buy. Hope I don’t screw it up. Lol!!

Retrofit isn't all that scary. Hardest part is getting the damn lens off!

Yeah that is my biggest fear. I took apart a light back in 2001 and the lens ended up with fine hairline cracks that got worse over time. If I can get the lens off without damage then I am golden. I will be starting with a set of brand new Raptor headlights.
