Upgrading 2014 Headlights to OEM HID and need help
Ok... check in time. Got everything in and I am short 2 headlight retainer ring screws. Ordered, will install when they get here. The one thing they had to special order from Ford (out of stock) and I didn't order enough of them. I thought it was one per side.
I do have my fogs though and I am going to try to get them in tomorrow. And I do plan on going ahead and installing the harness as best I can so the install goes quicker. I have one headlight put together already. Hey.. 1 HID and one Halogen? lol

Ok, got some work done today. But first, a very heartfelt thank you to thelariat02 for hooking me up with some of the stuff I needed to do this and for his patience with what I am sure must have seemed like an unending string of questions. Thank you for your knowledge, patience, fast shipping, great products, and willingness to help.
I got my XB's installed today and got my HID harness installed as far as I could without installing the lights. The fogs are a hit and miss with me. I love the color and love the brightness, could not be happier with either of those. Much better than stock. They are very wide too. I do not think I have them aimed properly but the longest distance I had available with a wall was about 18 ft of driveway at the abandoned house next door. They just don't seem to reach out a long way. I might be expecting too much and if I am, please let me know.
I am guessing at 18ft. Could be less but this gives a good idea of the cutoff. This is fogs only

On the street, fogs only. Is this normal?

This pulling into my garage and I noticed the light was way off to the left. I like that a lot.

No problem man glad I could help!
For the fogs that's about right, but hard to tell. You need to find an empty garage or parking lot with about 40'. Measure from the wall to the front of the truck 25' that fogs cut off should drop 2.5".

Still waiting on the screws but I got my curved 32" LED bar and Rigid harness for behind the grille today. Hoping the screws come in before the weekend so I can finish the install.
Well crap. Parking lights work, turn signals work, high beam solenoids work, no HID's. Its either the bulbs or the ballasts. Any way for me to diagnose that? I suppose it could be the harness too.
I found a youtube of a guy who installed the same exact lights and harness and I used the same spots he did for ground. And actually, on a harness that is made for this, no I should not have to repin it. That is of course depending on what you mean by repin. This was supposed to be plug and play. And everything works but the bulbs won't ignite. It sounds like the ballasts. I guess I will order a new pair and see if that fixes it.
Repin where it plugs into the OEM H13.
And before you do that we need to do some diagnosing first. Make sure you have 12v going to the ballasts. Plus everything you have had a warranty.

I see what you mean now. Yeah I need to check that. Seems to me though that something else would not work if the pins were done wrong. I have my old lights back in now. I need to get batteries for my meter and find the pinout to the plugs. I will work on that this week. Just got too much going on this weekend.
