DRLs?

I noticed that my low beams are on constantly, that's cool and all but I want to switch over to the switchback turn signals and want the turn signals to be my DRLs is there a way to reroute the wiring to do that? I'm well versed in soldering and circuitry but want to see if there is an easier way to go about it. Sorry if its a stupid question but its my first truck.

I thought the switchbacks would go on anytime that your turns were not on

They are cool white when they are on steady, and blink orange when the blinkers are on.

So how would that eliminate the fact that my headlights are on full time, don't want to drop the $$ and not have what I'm looking to do. Thanks for the replies.

Gauge LED color

Hi I've been looking around and finding a bit of info on swapping to LEDs for the gauge cluster, I'm having a hard time finding photos of the lights were changed to red. All my other interior lights are red and I am considering changing them to red but I want to see how it looks first. What do you guys think? would that be too much? I'm not a huge fan of red but I hate turning on the cab lights at night and being blinded by white light, The green gauges don't go well with the red. Thanks for the replies.

They are 5050 SMT LEDs. You need very steady hands, patience, and a precise soldering iron to replace them.

sweet thanks for the reply finally, I remade my bike wiring harness as well as gauges. Working swapping it's EMS to a megasqirt and FI'ing it (studying to be a mech engineer) so I'm well versed in soldering.

Yea I found that too but it does not answer my question of whether or not the turn signals will function as the DRLs.

Technically? Yes they will. Supply 12v and they will light up as designed.

That's wat I did, but I pulled the fuse under the hood instead of unclipping that piece in the front. Now I just turn on the park lights to activate the switchbacks. It's a bit of a pain but I got use to it over the last 2 years.

Thanks powerz69 thats the closest answer I have gotten, so to conferm you normally have the DRLs in the headlights but removed the fuse when you put a set of switchbacks in correct?

I've been giving this a lot of thought lately and I'm wondering, if it seems to be a separate harness from the headlights if I can use the current DRL wiring and integrate it into the TSs instead of the HLs. I've pretty much figured everything out other than finding a way to cut the DRL signal when the flasher is activated. Maybe a nc relay or something. Gotta put fresh batts in the multimeter and it looks like I will need to drop the cash on a set of the switchbacks for testing. Bummer
