Yeah, it being off by a half of a millimeter would yield the 2-3" drop at 25'. Not something you'll be able to tell by looking in the lens.

Alright thanks. I have to try and fix the halogen high beam anyway so maybe I'll fix it next weekend..

Well got around to fixing my lights last weekend. Only thing I found wrong was a screw that held the lens in was half backed out. Since i had them ripped apart I decided to add some color flicker by adding a #6 washer to each bottom screw to space the lens from the shield. It did add some blue but not much but I wanted to keep the nice cut-off. It looks good to me. Here are some update pics. Sorry for the crap pictures.
