Dash removal

This is most likely a waste of time looking at the date your message was posted, but I am having major problems getting my dash out. I went to the web site you referenced to and downloaded the instructions and can't open it. I get a message "can't load graphics convertor. Any help appreciated.

Thanks....Bill

'99 f150 xlt. AC works fine, but no heat when I rotate the center **** to red - seems to be just ambient air. Temp guage comes up nicely; same as it always has. Replaced the AC potentiometer since it was only $15., and same problem (**** is ok too). Question is: if you pull the black kick-plate on the floor you can see the little white flat looking activation motor.. shouldn't you be able to feel some type of movement or detect activity if that's ok ?.. I guess it's either the activation motor ($73.) or the blend door ($44.). Dealer wants $1000. (labor only) to fix. NO WAY. I just really dont want to tear the dash apart, but I will if I have to.. can someone please send me some step-by-step info if it's available ?..

Actuator motor bad/blend door ok.

99 F150 4x4 5.4 102K. I too had no heat; just good AC. Thanks to the excellent instructions, I was successful in pulling the dash and opening up my plenum, only to discover that the blend door was ok. It was stuck in the closed position. Replaced it anyway ($40.), along with a new actuator motor ($73.). The new actuator did the trick. I did not replace my heater core, as the job wasn't too bad and I wanna get as many miles out of it as I can.

Now that I have it back together, the left turn signal blinks fast and the tail light wont blink - front is ok. Replacement bulb made no difference. Could something have gotten shorted out when the dash was pulled ?..

I had a similar problem on my '97 F150 4X4 It turned out to be the turn signal switch on the steering column. I simply cleaned all the contacts and re-lubed it. Once assembled it worked fine.

No Heat on 2000 Expedition

Hi all, first of all, this is my first time on this forum and it is awesome. I too am having similar issues with my Expedition where I only get cool air both in the front and the rear vents and winter is right around the corner. I've downloaded the instructions but would like input on whether these instructions will also work on a 2000 Expedition. Earlier this week, I replaced the thermostat because the vehicle was overheating and was hoping that would resolve the heat issue as well, but I wasn't so lucky. Could someone also please point out the parts that I need to replace so that I can get them ordered?
Many thanks in advance,
George

is the blend door just for adjusting temperature or have anything to do from switching to/from vents/defrost/floor?

Request for instructions on 97 f150 heater core replacement

Hey all, I'm getting ready to replace my heater core on a 2wd 97 F150. Can I get a copy or a pointer to a copy of those instructions ? Much appreciated.

Just looked again. I assuming these are the instructions

http://www.geocities.com/tractionaction/f150mso4B.pdf

So I think I have them already.
