Nope, shorties are actually more difficult sometimes because the primaries are snaked around themselves much more versus the long tubes that just get down and out of the way. Other than install, you're gonna have the same issues with one as you will the other. But one actually benefits you a little, while the other just makes noise.

Install isn't too bad, but I'll just say there's a reason why it costs so much to have someone do it. And if you have any studs break, just pray they aren't in the front on the passenger side. HP per dollar, I wouldn't do them. Noise per dollar, which is why I did them, 100% worth it. I had an issue installing mine where I bent and stripped the two studs that are very difficult to weld a nut to (so much so that I couldn't), so I had to pay a shop to remove them because I wasn't willing to wait 2 more days for my "reinforcements" (very mechanically inclined neighbor). And I don't know where you're located, but the farther north, the more rust, and the higher possibility for complications. I'm in Texas, where my truck has been for its whole life.

Yeah, I really wouldn't even bother haha. In many other vehicles, it's a breeze, but not the case with us! C6 Corvette? Piece of cake

tascaparts.com is pretty much the "hands down" best legitimate OEM parts site. What do you need to order?

I don't know if there's a youtube video doing headers on our trucks, but this thread I put together of compiled info may help you wrap your mind around the job. I see a lot of Dodges with headers because they're easy to do. For us, it isn't justified unless you just HAVE to have them. If you look into your driver side wheel well and from the engine bay, it's easy; go to the passenger side and it's an F'ing nightmare compared to the other side. It isn't too terrible though.

was going to look for the fx2 u bolts so I could do the drop in the future.

and thanks for the link. very useful. I looked at some video clips with the headers and they sound awesome. now I am wondering how the obx header would sound with the stock HD exhaust. is there any other headers available that I should look into or are the obx pretty much the best deal?

Headers definitely sound sick. But you should at least do a muffler swap with long tubes, otherwise there's no point as far as sound is concerned.

There are others available, that are of higher quality, but they're all almost 3 times the cost. So OBX is definitely the best bang for yer buck, but I'd use Stainless Works or another if I was doing a show truck or a build where every HP mattered. Pacesetter makes some regular steel ones that are cheaper than OBX, but by the time you ceramic coat them, you might as well have bought some of proper material in the first place.

Also! - be advised! If'n yalls dint already glean this i'il factoid from the above edumacation! You MUST run a custom tune for almost ANY WAI/WASHOOBI! The MAF TF IS affected!

A canned device like an Edge EVO or CS/CTS cannot compensate for a WAI/WASHOOBI! However an EVO CAN be custom tuned to render it safe to run with a WAI/WASHOOBI!
