Mark has the pole for sunday... Shows it doesnt matter what team he goes with he still going to be good.

I like Nascar more for an excuse to tailgate and drink anymore. Need more Skoal Racin' girls as well...

Went ot Dega in 2004, got a nice pic of me and one of the Skoal Racin' girls....wife didn't appreciate the photo when she got the film developed

Nascar started going downhill since about the time I was born.
I don't really watch it anymore since Davy Allison got killed, I still remember watching Cale Yarborough and Richard Petty go at it on VHS.

Nascar has too many rules and too many commercials.

You know what would make a real good show?
Take the Mustang, Camaro and Challenger and have a Trans-am/SCCA type race.
Factory cars with gutted insides and cages on a good mix of road and oval tracks.
Stock engines and trans with 3,600# minimum weight on slicks or rain tires.

That would give each car a weight to shoot for and we could see pro drivers driving almost the same car anyone can go buy.
Thats stock car racing, Nascar is "race" car racing IMO.

Something like the WTCC.

If it wasn't for the moonshiners we wouldn't have NASCAR! all they did was modify the motor to put more power out to outrun the law. i would love to see NASCAR do something like that. a "throwback race" as one might say.
