This past weekend I took my new 2008 Harley Davidson truck towing my black enclosed bike trailer with my 2012 Black FLHX StreetGlide to North Conway NH to ride the Kangamangus Highway for a couple of days! Really a 32mi blast to ride through the mountain range on a bike! Before the trip, I washed the truck, trailer & bike & carefully checked all tire pressures as I am **** about that stuff! At the Hotel (I am going to leave the name out for now) I proceeded to park my rig into the same parking spot, as always as I have been there before & done the same thing. The maitenance guy comes up to me, never saw him before in my life, he was of Middle Eastern descent & says to me "Your gonna detatch your trailer & park each in one spot right?" I say nope I have parked on the end spot before, & angled out my trailer in a non parking spot not blocking a thing so I have access to the rear ramp door to load & unload the bike! I have expensive cargo & its gonna stay attatched & locked up to the truck! He persisted with what he thought made more sense to him! I told him to get away from me, this is not my 1st rodeo, & that your really starting to bother me after driving for the past three hours & I'm in no mood for you!" Monday morning as I was loading up my bike for the ride home, I get the feeling that I was being watched, I turn around & the same guy is eyeballing me from a distance! The truck sat for two full days parked with the trailer attatched since we went everywhere on the bike & I locked up the bike in the trailer at night. When I got home after backing up the truck & trailer into the driveway, I was looking at the truck as I just love my new Harley Davidson SuperCrew, & noticed that both the left front & right rear tire sidewalls were SLASHED! I immediately knew who did it but I have no proof!
My girlfriend notified the Hotel to review their security camara tapes! Gonna cost almost $600.00 to replace the two tires installed! People really suck at times! Sorry for the long rant!..............

 

Damn dude One of my buddies took his Jeep to that same area this weekend. That's crazy. POS a hole right there

Also the person who cut your tires might not have anything to do with the motel.....just a stupid drive by.....

Yup that was the 1st thing that I said to my girlfriend! We were lucky to get home safely without a problem.....

 

I thought about that but the way that that guy was looking at my truck when I pulled in & how he practically ran over to try to assert his imagined authority over me in trying to give me a lesson on how to park my truck & trailer makes me think otherwise! After I told him how I was going to park my vehicle, trailer, & having access to its contents being the bike, & having it locked up to the truck made way more sense, all at the same time not blocking anybody in the parking lot at all, than anything that he suggested! I truly think that it became a personal thing for him at that point since I made his sugggestion look silly! I am actually lucky that I did not see him doing the deed cause I would be sitting in a jail cell right now for felony assault & battery!........By the way he drove a broken down old 1991 Chebby work truck full of tools which made him jealous & he had the instruments at his disposal to do the deed! All circumstancial evidence of course!.....

 

I am a firm believer in that philosophy too!.........

 

Pisses me off to hear some thing like that!! There will always be haters every where you go!! Hope they fire the guy!!

 

Hey -- just be glad he didn't strap plastic exploives to himself and walk up next to you as you were loading up for your trip home and blow whole "kit-and-kaboodle" to smithereens......

Dude -- in your line of work you should know better than all of us put together how some people just suck.....

You didnt notice slashed sidewalls until you got home? So they werent punctured all the way through.. Lucky they didnt blow out on the way home. I've had the wheels stolen off a car in a hotel parking lot after an argument with the desk clerk over a mistake in my reservations they made. Always thought that little F@^$#R had something to do with it.

Ok, at the risk of sounding like a grade A+ anus cavity I'm gonna say at few things.

1.You are a cop so you are/should be used to people somewhat respecting your jurisdiction. So is the guy at the hotel. You were swimming in his pond so to speak you should have at least shown him some common courtesy. It might have gone a long way to defusing a bad situation.

2.Welcome to how most people feel when you pull them over.

3.Ever seen a cop hiding behind bushes under an overpass? Welcome to the party!

4. Sorry about the tires, HONESTLY!

6. Does that mean I can have a "Get outta jail free card" if I beat a **** stupid in RI?

Honestly I really am sorry about your tires getting slashed! But now that I have pointed out the obvious do you see how most of us regular citizens feel about the authority figures (cops, security guards, crazy landlords etc) we have to deal with? The things that might not have meant anything to you did mean something to the guy at the hotel. A few nice, respectful words would have gone a long way to defuse the situation. I have a wicked bad temper and had to learn the hard way that being nasty gets you no where but biting my tongue and being polite to jerks can pay off huge.

That being said, if the tapes show the guy from the hotel slashing your tires nail his nuts to the wall. I hate a coward as much as a thief!
