She was killed in the line of duty investigating a possible acccident on the highway. Its a LOD death and in no less significant than any other.

Anything can happen to anybody no matter where they are, thanks for pointing out the obvious...no disrespect of course...Just bringing a little balance to the thread.

 

No question that thats sad and the guy should have gotten life in prison, but what the thread is about is cops who abuse their power. I'm glad I have never had to deal with the police except once. He was nice and did his job just fine, but he accused me of having weed on me? lol, I am the most anti drug person in the world, I just think he asked because it smelled like mold and I had a smoker in the car. who knows. All I know is that I commend all police for protecting us, but just like every group, theres always going to be some bad apples, but it shouldnt spoil the group because the rest keep us safe!

Beauflex I am agreeing with you.But I can honestly say i have seen many on this forum trash any body shop with the distain that the do for the police. Bad is bad,, have no problem with that. BUT read some of the other comments.. again like og terror has to say . again by another thats soooo familiar with my job or anything that it entails feels like he can you the broad stroak that he does... Yes I chose this job YOU didnt yet all you can do is, like others is tell me how to do it. NO training never dealing with it at all... Thats my point.. Do I want A COOKIE for a job well done... ha cant even respont to that with out being sensored.... never wanted one never will...

I can tell your not fond me, which is fine. I just said that the thread was about police officers who abused their power, no one is trashing police in general and what they do, they do great things for us. they protect us from idiots who drive terribly, they catch people who steal from us, they help us solve problems in a safe way, they do great!

Im not trying to down play what you posted about the trooper who was left in a vegetated state and later died from her injuries sustained because some idiot got behind the wheel drunk. he should be in jail for life! No doubt about that. Its terrible that these kind of things happen. She gave her life to check out an accident scene, and that should be held in high regards. Sorry if I offended you.

 

CONTINUED... never wanted one as i was chasing the guy with the gun.. or delivering some one baby. or fighting with the crack head who did'nt wanna go to jail, the drunk i chased at 110 mph just because, or daddys little angel who killed the passenger in the car while texting and driving, or running into tower 2 on 9/11 of escorting all the family members to recover their remmains, or the guy that spit on me as he was led into jail, cause he didnt want to put the 2 pit bulls on a leash, and put away the joint.. or the guy on drugs that hit me as i tended to an accident.. your right joe blow could have that happen to them.. but it usually doesent because guys who job it is to do it block them with their patrol cars so they can do it safely, so they dont get hit.I do!.. I dont llike bad cops either. and many good cops use coersion and a bit of lying to get the answers they need when investigating a case.. cause I am allowed..

I think you are correct. I have seen many more threads with people out right bashing on cops. Many of them with the mentality of "F the police". I think those threads are BS. To hate a group of people just because of the job they do is not right in my opinion.

I dont feel that at any point in this thread I have tried to tell you how to do your job. I had not commented one way or the other about any of the videos.

I am not a police officer. I have no idea what it is like to be a police officer. It may be because of these facts that I couldnt understand why you reacted the way you did in your first post. I didnt feel this thread was bashing on cops just because they are cops. I didnt feel that anyone came across with the atittude that all cops are scum. The title of the thread I feel is insulting. But I dont think it was meant to portray a hatred for all police.

In the end I suppose I just couldnt figure out why you reacted that way. I guess we have all had a bad day and something just set us off. I in no way meant to come across as trying to tell you how to do your job. In the same respect I dont feel that it is wrong for people to discuss matters such as this. I dont feel this thread is out of line. I suppose we saw this thread in two different ways.
