Obama supports mosque at Ground Zero

islam is the enemy. Their leaders declare it openly and there have been many instances where they have proven so. Like I said in another thread; ask any true muslim to reject the people who ordered th 9/11 attacks against NYC. I did it to 2 devout muslims that I know, and both of them just smiled at me (their silent agreement with islams terrorist actons). I didnt ask them to reject their faith, their God, or their religion. I asked them to reject the terrorist attacks against a "Christian" nation. They simply smiled at me. It happened in Wal Mart after a long tense discussion about Christianity vs islam
I openly reject islam and say that our country needs to follow more Christian-based rules. The 10 commandments...how much better would things be if we followed these, and the other Christian-based writings in our nations founding documents? Yes, they're there, don't try to cover them up.
How much damage would it do to our country if we simply rejected islam, as a country? My Christian ancestors built it without the help of islam. I can do the same.
All of you who say that we need to be tollerant to these wackos, you're a bunch of push-overs. They're not being tollerant of us, therefore they don't get 1 inch of room from me. I don't believe in slaughtering them, I dont believe in persecuting them or rounding them up into a concentration camp. I just think that our government would be wise to keep them in check, and yes this may mean violating their rights at times.

Here is an Email I received today. I can't say how much of it is true or false, but here it is.

There should be no mosque near Ground Zero in New York so long as
there are no churches or synagogues in Saudi Arabia. The time for
double standards that allow Islamists to behave aggressively toward us
while they demand our weakness and submission is over.
The proposed "Cordoba House" overlooking the World Trade Center site –
where a group of jihadists killed over 3000 Americans and destroyed
one of our most famous landmarks - is a test of the timidity,
passivity and historic ignorance of American elites. For example,
most of them don’t understand that “Cordoba House” is a deliberately
insulting term. It refers to Cordoba, Spain – the capital of Muslim
conquerors who symbolized their victory over the Christian Spaniards
by transforming a church there into the world’s third-largest mosque
complex.
Today, some of the Mosque’s backers insist this term is being used to
"symbolize interfaith cooperation" when, in fact, every Islamist in
the world recognizes Cordoba as a symbol of Islamic conquest. It is a
sign of their contempt for Americans and their confidence in our
historic ignorance that they would deliberately insult us this way.
Those Islamists and their apologists who argue for "religious
toleration" are arrogantly dishonest. They ignore the fact that more
than 100 mosques already exist in New York City. Meanwhile, there are
no churches or synagogues in all of Saudi Arabia. In fact no Christian
or Jew can even enter Mecca. And they lecture us about tolerance.
If the people behind the Cordoba House were serious about religious
toleration, they would be imploring the Saudis, as fellow Muslims, to
immediately open up Mecca to all and immediately announce their
intention to allow non-Muslim houses of worship in the Kingdom. They
should be asked by the news media if they would be willing to lead
such a campaign.
We have not been able to rebuild the World Trade Center in nine years.
Now we are being told a 13 story, $100 million mega mosque will be
built within a year overlooking the site of the most devastating
surprise attack in American history.
Finally where is the money coming from? The people behind the Cordoba
House refuse to reveal all their funding sources.
America is experiencing an Islamist cultural-political offensive
designed to undermine and destroy our civilization. Sadly, too many of
our elites are the willing apologists for those who would destroy them
if they could.
No mosque.
No self deception.
No surrender.
The time to take a stand is now - at this site on this issue.
If, after reading this, you agree with it, please pass it on to
others. This is the most clearly stated, sensible, and historically
accurate statement that I’ve read on this issue (and I’ve read a lot
of them). Why can’t we have a President as intelligent, educated,
and patriotic as this former Speaker of the House?

We can open our pork Bar b Que across the street from the Cordoba House, and we can call it "The House of Toures BBQ" after the battle in France where we beat them bastrids and started pushing them back to the Middle East
Great post LT.
islam is seeing the benefits of the double standard and the libturds refuse to believe it. Christians like me, who believe in strong family values and many other conservative values are being shouted down for a reason that they don't fully understand.

MONDAY'S GREGALOGUE: MY NEW GAY BAR
So, the Muslim investors championing the construction of the new mosque near Ground Zero claim it's all about strengthening the relationship between the Muslim and non-Muslim world.
As an American, I believe they have every right to build the mosque - after all, if they buy the land and they follow the law - who can stop them?
Which is, why, in the spirit of outreach, I've decided to do the same thing.
I'm announcing tonight, that I am planning to build and open the first gay bar that caters not only to the west, but also Islamic gay men. To best express my sincere desire for dialogue, the bar will be situated next to the mosque Park51, in an available commercial space.
This is not a joke. I've already spoken to a number of investors, who have pledged their support in this bipartisan bid for understanding and tolerance.
As you know, the Muslim faith doesn't look kindly upon homosexuality, which is why I'm building this bar. It is an effort to break down barriers and reduce deadly homophobia in the Islamic world.
The goal, however, is not simply to open a typical gay bar, but one friendly to men of Islamic faith. An entire floor, for example, will feature non-alcoholic drinks, since booze is forbidden by the faith. The bar will be open all day and night, to accommodate men who would rather keep their sexuality under wraps - but still want to dance.
Bottom line: I hope that the mosque owners will be as open to the bar, as I am to the new mosque. After all, the belief driving them to open up their center near Ground Zero, is no different than mine.
My place, however, will have better music.

Greg Gutfeld is the man.
Damn, I've been really agreeable lately (or so I'm told).

1. So far we have 1.
I apoligize for taking part in the hyjacking of this thread. I made an early attempt to keep it on topic but failed.
The fact is, it's the main stream media, and some of our elected officials who are diverting this issue from one about common decency to one about freedom of religion. There may be a few, 1 so far here, who want to take away freedom of religion but there is an overwhelming majority of people who are opposed to the location of the proposed "curtural center" because of it's proximity to the location to the worst terrorist attack in our counties history.
Our president should not have injected himself in yet another matter that is not within the scope of the federal government. Most people believe strongly in the freedom of religion, even if they don't subscribe to any themselves. I'm not hearing most people say that they don't want this Imam, or any other muslim, to build a mosque, or a curtural center anywhere. Just have some decency, and don't put where radicalized muslims killed thousands of innocent Americans.

The single most important item that makes America the great country it is, is the Constitution, and you just want to **** all over it. Constitutional rights apply to every citizen of the USA, all the time. They have a right to build a mosque there, period. There's no pre-subscribed distance it has to be from ground zero. Trying to prevent them from building it there is a direct slap in the face to every American that sacrificed their life in the wars they fought to guarantee everyone's rights.
You may not think you're bigoted, but as long as you condemn all Muslims for the actions of a few radicals, you are. That would be like condemning all Christians because of the Crusades or the Inquisition, where thousands of innocent men, women and children were slaughtered in the name of Jesus Christ.
No one wants you to be afraid to speak your mind, in fact, I'd defend that right for you no matter how much I disagreed with your thoughts. But when those thoughts are suggesting depriving someone else of their rights, they're wrong.
Here's some food for thought; the number one tool that recruiters use to get young Muslims wanting to harm America is convincing them that America hates Islam. The people that are protesting this mosque are only giving them more ammunition.
You do realize that Moses, and Jesus for that matter, were Jews, right? The 10 commandments are not exclusively Christian, and can be found in the writings of Jews and Muslims as well. The proposed "mosque" is 2.5 blocks away, and not even visible from ground zero, but it offends you because you like to condemn an entire religion and all of it's followers because of a handful of radicals. So I guess the Muslims that worked and died in the towers, and the first responders that were killed that were Muslims, don't count, right?

For you to trash Christians as "hypocrites", is rich.
There are so many lies in your posts (including your last one) about Islam and their extremists and what they are taught. Im not going to waste any more time and even highlight them. Oh, the Crusades were instigated by Muslims. Don't believe me, research it.
Just so you know Habs, The Ten Commandments are not Christian at all. They were commands from God to the Israelites when they were escaping captivity, long before Christ and Christianity was born. There are some of the same teachings in Christianity and we should all obey the Ten Commandmentsas they are from God, but they were not presented as laws to Christians. You confuse so much of your beliefs with facts that it's impossible to discuss points with you.
