Finally today it did the same thing and then wouldn't turn on(would crank but not start). When the tow truck arrived I was able to start it again but still spuddering. When I got it home I took out the mass flow meter and cleaned it, now it starts right up sounds good but when I drive it it drives fine till I get on it. When I hit the gas hard it revs, sputters and doesn't go anywere. Any Ideas? Maybe a bad mass flow? I've installed new Accel coils and spark plugs a little while back so don't think its a coil problem.

Anyways thanks to the rest of you guys! I will be purchasing a programmer soon, hopefully a Gryphon. Thanks Again!
Seriously, the extra strain on these transmissions, casued by adding to the rolling mass weight by lifting and huge wheels and tires has caused several to experience transmission losses. Some more than once. Regearing will be the single best mod for helping extend the life of the transmission, with those mods. A tuner is needed and will aid in performance, but will not help extend the life of the transmission. Just my opinion, based on what I have seen happen to others. These transmissions are not the strongest component of these trucks, to start with.
I don't know why I try to help these idiots...

i would save up though and get something you really want or need, don't just buy something to buy something. that is something i wish i grasped
Your fine bud. Your not going to hurt your truck anymore with those tires then with stockers. When you get up to 35+ then your coming up on needing gears. Dont abuse your truck and you will be fine. i just dropped $2424.13 on a new tranny in my truck, i was abusing it and it had 130k miles. idk, life lesson.

Honestly my favorite mod was the hid's from www.DDMtuning.com and the two hellas behind my grill with hid's. Makes for a sexy combo and should cost around 200 bucks.

Best advice, save your money. Im still in high school, work two part time jobs, gave up being a kid to have nice toys. Its not all that great.

His next thread will be about his POS Ford's throttle body that he had to replace.

While praising the lack of oil contamination on the MAF (just found a couple of teeny bugs, is all).

Oh heck - why stop there? Oil filter reuse: "Works good, just hose it out and dry it off."

Thanks for your helpful insight in my thread by the way. It's good to know you have such a high regard for responsible people having more than 2.5 kids.
