From that same "Fuel Mileage Seems Strange" Thread ...

I drove along for a few miles after resetting my average mpg computer once I got rolling and it was cranking out around 32 mpg until I finally had to stop at a light. It started dropping fast even while sitting at the light. My guess is that at 85-90, your truck would probably be getting closer to 16-17 mpg. Driving the speed limit should get you 20+ mpg.
^^^ Yep, that sure IS strange ...

Another thing - driving a pickup truck-shaped barn door @ 90 mph while concurrently discussing mileage is the very definiton of a non-sequitur ... W. T. F

I said something similar upon my very first-ever visit to a Ginormous USA WallyMart Supercenter ..." So much food, so little time ..." (then replace 'food' with 'beer', and repeat)

^man you get some incredible mpgs, that is one of my key reasons for looking into this, if I could constantly get over 16 Id be thrilled

I don't know how your POS n/a trucks get less than 20 mpgs, I drive my green truck hard and I get better than 16 mpgs with it and it's supercharged

I've found a variety, chrome and composite pipe. I've read somewhere that the composite pip supposed to be better.

Then i found a post where people swear on the RAM type of intake, which points to the front.

you haven't done much research have you...

What the hell is a composite pip? A photo-shopped picture of two of Gladys Night's backup singers?

I'm so tired of people claiming that the lower your RPMS the better your mileage on the highway. when they don't do hardly any highway driving and all they do is whine and complain about the crappy mileage thier trucks get...

my supercharged trucks get better mileage than most n/a trucks can

mine still gets 11-14mpg whether it was with the 4.88's pulling 2700rpm to cruise with people, or now with the 1-tons and 3.73's at 1800rpm cruising with flow of traffic.
