I don't think you "know" raptor. Go and read some of his previous threads. This kid is an epic internetz failure. He takes it all in stride and keeps kicking. It's just who he is.

Are they the hairstylist that gave you the "bowl cut"? Instead of the Police, you should contact the BBB.

Yes, yes it does.

Just messin with ya. You do understand a student load is nothing like a credit card. If you have trouble differentiating between a $50k investment in your education so you can graduate with a good degree, get a good job, etc etc, and having a credit card with a $50k limit, maybe you should spend some more time taking econ and business classes.

I'm thinking if we are using Damon Wayons charactors, Raptor is morphing into Handi-man.

this stuff is to funny guys, I mean its funny for me to laugh because im a college student my self but Im on my own. I do have a credit card but its only got a $500 limit which only gets used when I know I have money to pay it off and I was unfortunate and had to sign my truck loan with no co-signer so my rate is 10.5% WHICH SUCKS! But my credit is building and it takes work. Must be nice to have dad and mom handing out $500,000 credit limits and handing out $1000 of cash knowing that is may get stolen by a bunch of homosexual , are your parents considering any more kids?? cause this guy right here would like to be adopted.

Wow, after reading most of this, I have to say I'm really dissapointed in the type of members there are on here. Yea, Raptor has his moments, but he's also 18. What amazes me is the amount of "mature" adults on here arguing with an 18 year old over the internet.

Hell, I'm only 19. But who the hell cares if his dad wants him to have that card with that limit and build his credit? It seems to me alot of these posts are out of reaction and not response. I have a student loan in my name that my dad is paying off for me so I can build my credit. Woopty freakin do! It's not that uncommon for parents to do that so the kid can come out ahead of the game with a chance!

Btw, for all of the "mature" adults on here, it's not considered weird for kids our age to argue on the internet. In fact, it's pretty common. But for some of the people on here who are the "mature" adults, it's considered pathetic, please grow up. But I guess that's asking alot if your 45 years old sitting at the computer getting mad over an 18 year old's post. G'night everybody, and Merry Christmas!

Btw, I have no sympathy for being "on your own" and having a $500 card limit. Mainly due to the fact you drive a 2006 XLT 4x4 with hefty mods.

Typical answer from a teenager. You missed the point entirely. It has nothing to do with his dad helping him build credit, but rather that Raptor attempted to "impress" the interweb people by playing like it was his $50k credit card. That was a flat out lie, and he was called out on it. If you haven't noticed yet, most people around here don't like being lied to, and can spot these lies and will raise the BS flag.

Actually that is fairly uncommon. Let me clue you in to something, no matter what your parents tell you, or what you may personally believe, you do not DESERVE to have your parents pay your student loans. They're doing it because they care about you and want to give you what they can and they've got the money to do so. Consider yourself extremely lucky, there are a lot of people who can't afford to pay their kids way through school. Although, based on your "whoopty freaking do" comment, I take it you aren't grateful at all. If you actually deserved to have your college paid for, you'd have a scholarship of some kind.

By the way, I paid my way though school (student loans and working), along with the vast majority of my friends and I think we all came out with just as good of a "chance" as anyone else. Would I like to have my student loans paid off, of course. Is the couple hundred a month I'm paying now breaking my bank account, of course not.

I don't think any one got mad, but we'll all take your 19 year old tongue lashing to heart and "grow up".

You totally missed the point, again. It's ok though, since you aren't "on your own" you probably don't fully understand what that means. No sympathy was being asked for, and none should be given. He was simply pointing out that many young people are on their own, and most of them seem to manage just fine without a $50k credit card. Even if it means taking on a higher interest rate for a loan, you aren't relying on anyone but yourself. I think people are forgetting how to do that with each passing day.
