I am getting confused with these new forum etiquette rules.
If you're confused, you can go by my ****-Off Scale back on page 7 I think.

I'm considering to add a "Consequence of Arguing with Another Age Group Scale" too. This scale will show the average patheticness percentage of any person arguing within another age group. Any takers?

Not a taker, but you may want to save your time. I'm considering banning anyone under 45, after seeing your othe scale.

That option may seriously devastate the amount of unnecessary posts that do not pertain to all things truck's. In other words, there would be nothing to occupy me before I take Final exams

Well, all you would have to do is lie about your age, not argue, and act mature.

First off, I dont know how to multi quote these things, so this one will be one of the last longer ones...I know, it's sad, everyone was enjoying their daily reading. I do apologize.

My loan is unsubsidized because Uncle Sam says my parents make enough to help. And Raoul hit the nail on the head. My parents opted to help by paying off interest. My woopty doo comment was more directed at the fact that it's a pretty common situation where I am from. Yes, I do think I have earned the situation I am currently in, but that DOES NOT mean I'm ungrateful for what my parents contribute. I definitely would not be in the same situation without them.

Alot of people on here like calling me an idiot. It's ok, I'm 19, it's not the first time I've heard it. However, give me some credit since I return every cent of my overage check every semester to help pay off my loan(Thats why I said kind of^)

And a PINCHbetter90, I'm sorry. I did not mean for that to take off like it did. I was using your situation as an example of something I always been taught not to do. In other words, interest is the devil in my family. To each his own, which is why I said more power to you if you can handle everything. I wish I could handle a situation like that, but I cannot due to my major. (Mechanical Engineering)

PS- I'm not upset, this thread has kept me occupied before my Calc2 Final today.

That's like asking a crack addict to quit cold turkey! You know that won't happen with 19 year old morons like me

So you come from a privileged area, again, consider yourself very lucky. Not everyone is from the same place as you, so even if it's common where you are, across the board it's not really all that common. Only one guy I knew in school was getting a free ride courtesy of his parents who lived out of state. He managed to get an ME degree and has spent the last 5 years working as a cashier at Office Max. He always had his parents to bail him out and never learned to be responsible for himself.

Nobody is calling you an idiot, and I see no reason why anyone should. The key point I was trying to get across to you was to be grateful for your situation because you are very lucky. It sounds like you work hard, and you are supported by your parents. Not many people have the combination of those two things.

If anything, being an ME should give you confidence to get a 10%+ loan! I know it's a tough major, and you're not the only ME student around here either.

In all seriousness, if you think its bad now (i'm guessing you're a sophomore) just wait for the next two years. For me it seemed like every semester, up until the last one, was harder than the previous!

Hang in there, it's cool. But it seems someone always wants a piece of somebody around here.

Personally I think it is great that your parents are able to help you out. College tuition is a bear these days. Also Kudos to you for having the fortitude to take on a challenging major like ME and working full time. Good luck on your exams. I would suggest you lighten up but this is a stressful time for you as exams can put lots of pressure on students.

Arguing on the internet is stupid no matter the age but this thread did not start out as an argument. It was just to pick on Raptor for yet another BS story. Mattineer isn't here anymore so our attentions have shifted.

My dad's an ME, so I'm trying to follow in the foot steps on that one. And I do know whats ahead for the degree. (Not tyring to sound like a know-it-all or ****y) But for the confidence for getting a loan like that, I've always been taught to wait rather than getting it now, that's why it stuck out to me so bad.

And the sort-of-real ME classes are about to kick in this coming semester. (Calc3, Mech.of Solids, Chem2, and Dynamics). Also, to verify, yes I'm a sophmore this year. I know it's going to get harder.(junior year normally being most people's hardest) But, I've been set on this degree since the 7th grade, so it's all good.

Also, I should probably mention that I commute every day to school. Still work full-time, and maintain my grades. (I'm not trying to make it sound super hard, I'm saying this to help people understand some of the posts) However, it does suck driving 30 minutes to schoo, additional 15 to work, then driving 45 minutes home and getting in around 1AM)

But, I have to transfer up to Columbia to finish my degree and I do not plan on working once I'm there unless I need to.(Pretty much if my parents ask me to, I will) Would some of ya'll believe it's cheaper to get your own apartment in Columbia rather than pay to stay in the dorms now! Haha!

Thanks man! Don't worry, I'm lightened..I'm thinking the reason I posted in the first place is due to the fact I hadn't slept since Weds. and I was running on empty. Plus, I was on here trying to get my mind off of school for a little while.(I think it worked haha) But hey, the good news? I showed my exams no mercy, they were dominated in every way.

Statics- A
Public Speaking- A
Spanish 2- B
Calc2-A
