I would love to be able to find an 00-03 cobra, I'm not sure it would be the best daily driver though

 

You can find 99/01 Cobras fairly cheap. They are still the 4V 4.6's just not supercharged like the 03/04 Cobras are and with a few other differences. They would be an ok daily. 00' only had the 5.4 4V Cobra R's which there were only 300 of those made.

I love those Mystichrome's, but I would never be able to own one. I would be way too afraid of that expensive paint getting messed up.

 

It took me a while to find the pics, but here is a local guy's mystichrome cobra engine bay I need to find this guy at another show so I can snag more pics! It has a custom hood on it to accommodate the turbo system.

That first one you pictured, he posts on DFWstangs I think. I believe he swapped in a 5.4. TT DOHC 5.4

 

He has been to a lot of shows in Amarillo, and I thought he lived in either Amarillo or Dumas. Maybe I have not seen him around cause he moved I can't say I really blame him if he did move..

 

I miss my stang....was going to update to a GT/Cobra and decided to get the FX4

i have a green 05 king ranch 4 x 4. long story but ended up with an 06 mustang GT in 06. midlife crisis car. cheaper to get the car than to pickup a feel good trophy. i am smart enough to know that the girlfirend route would have me financially wiped out faster than a tornado coming thru. the stang is a blast to drive. i got the convertible. havent done much to it. put a k and n cai on it that did make a difference. its white with a black rag top. its got the appearance of an old mans car. 53 doesnt make me a fossil but my thought process was if it looks slow i can push it harder without attracting attention. there were some really good looking units on the lot. some looked fast just sitting there.

hurt my back pretty bad a year ago and its painful to get in and out of the stang. once in the stangs seat is well fitting and and has good support. also i head for the truck cause the seat has heat unlike the unheatd stang.
