Really nothing is wrong with it. It seemed to run pretty good the few times Ive driven it. Its just loud and obnoxious and has a few squeaks and rattles that are to be expected from a 17 year old car, especially one thats been stiffened up (subframe connectors, boxed control arms, etc). No major issues.
Its got a brand new shortblock and alot of performance parts. Im just bored with it and sick of putting money into it. Id really rather just pay off some bills instead of buying car parts all the time.
Ive put probably $7k into it since last fall when the original motor came out.

I bought this '03 as a daily driver, and I loved it. I only owned it for about a year and a half, and during that time it received no mods, and it never needed a single repair. I don't remember what its fuel mileage was because I didn't care. I ended up trading it for the truck I have now, while at the same time, selling the '96, which was eating me out of house and home, but I do miss it. Much fun was had with both of these:

Sweet Stang Dude. You got the right year the last of the carberated stangs if it where a AT it would have had ford's worthless tbi unit like the ones they used on the tempos of that year. Very clean looking. Your birds cool to that the model with the swing out of the way wheel right?
You're correct about the steering wheel in the Tbird.
'61 was the first year for the "Swing-Away" wheel($25.10 option).

Yeah -- I've got a 2008 GT with a 5-speed that is an accompanying "garage queen" to my 2005 F-150. Neither the truck nor the 'Stang is my daily driver -- just toys that get taken out for the occasional weekend cruises.
The GT with the 5-speed is an absolute blast to drive. The only real mods I've done with mine have been rims, tires, exhaust and a few minor appearance items, which is just fine with me as the vehicle is a ball to take out on back country roads even in it's stock form!
Here's a shot -- more in my gallery if you're interested:

Here are mine a 96 laser red GT and a black 96 Cobra. The cobra was built, it had an upgraded suspension from Kenny Brown, a dual stage nitrous kit and roll cage. Ran 11's at the track, with 9000 orig. miles lol. My GT is a salvage title but runs real good. only has 11000 miles. It currently up for sale.

Anyone know what a reasonable price to pay for a new 2010 GT would be? I know some of the guys in 2009-2010 F150s say they are getting 15-18% off sticker, just wondered what could be expected in the mustang market. I only ask because I love the look of the new 2010's, just don't want a payment over 450 a month...400 or under would be a perfect payment. Is this an unreasonable expectation for a new mustang?
I'm almost certain used is the way to go for my needs, but I just cant stop looking at the new 2010's
I'll second the motion that everyone has VERY nice mustangs!
