I overlayed the deer pic on top of the cat pic. I then cut out pieces of the deer pic to show that the two pictures are damn near perfectly aligned. I also played with the contrast around the cat in question and removed the red letters by the cat's face.

That is one big cat.

Also, for comparison...

No way the cat on the trail is a bobcat. Facial features are all wrong.

I see a rubber ducky in the sun glare.

Screw the cat though and get that buck. If the cat comes around, get him too.

You know at first when I looked at it, it almosted seemed like it was a little girl crawling up the hill with a hooded coat on. Anyone else get that perspective?

Who ever says there's no cougars in Missouri hasn't spent much time in the woods. I'm from S.E. Missouri and I've seen brown bears and cougars in Mark Twain national forest.

The first thing I notice is the size of it's head, way way to big for a bobcat. Bobcat's are usually have small heads and the "thing" in the picture sure doesn't have a small head.

Interesting because I just read a news article today about drivers hitting bobcats in Iowa.

good stuff there sleepymax. i think he makes a valid point on the facial features that it aint a bobcat. either way exciting stuff seems like two nice trophys right there (deer and cat) either way tell your friend to bag that cat cause you can not argue with hard evidence.

Yea I stared at it trying to figure out what it was. I thought it was some kind of lawn statue or something like that. Didn't even see the head until someone else pointed it out and I went back to look.
