Espousing that someone is 'always right' and 'cool-aid gulping' in the same sentence really tickled my funny-bone.

I think your funny bone healed in a twisted manner after the scooter wreck.

What's the matter, too intolerant to go to college and learn from "anti american devil worshiping communist professors".

See what I did there, I assumed you were an ultra conservative who is afraid to read anything besides the bible and Fox news because it might be too "liberal", just like you assumed I voted for Obama.

You know what they say about assuming...

It has nothing to do with assuming and everything to do with common sense. Most college professors lack common sense, which in turn trickles down to the students.

Having actually just graduated college I would have to disagree with you, most professors have a liberal agenda as well as no common sense.

Most of them have never had a job other than academics. It should be a requirement that they work in their chosen field prior to teaching. Especially applied sciences such as accounting. They are teaching things with no practical experience in the real world, only text book.

I was assuming you all had enough common sense to realize the obvious fact that college professors are liberal is a given.

This reminds me of something:

Quote from the book School is Hell
By Matt Groening

"Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach. Those who can't teach, counsel. Those who can't counsel, administrate. Those who can't administrate, enter data into the computer. Those who can't enter data into the computer, take dictation. Those who can't take dictation, alphabetize files. Those who can't alphabetize files, answer the phone. Those who can't answer the phone, fry hamburgers. Those who can't fry hamburgers, fry the cash register. Those who can't run the cash register, wait on tables. Those who can't wait on tables, carry dirty dishes to the kitchen. Those who can't carry dirty dishes to the kitchen, was the dishes. Those who can't wash dirty dishes, peel potatoes. Those who can't peel potatoes, buff the floor. Those who can't buff the floor haul out the garbage. Those who can't haul out the garbage, write poetry. Those who can't write poetry, write clever letters to the editor. Those who can't write clever letters to the editor, write angry letters to the editor. Those who can't write angry letters to the editor, spraypaint graffiti. Those who can't spraypaint graffiti, write screenplays. Those who can't write screenplays, write TV scripts. Those who can't write tv scripts, read scripts for the studios. Those who can't read scripts for the studios, act. Those who can't act, take acting classes. Those who can't take acting classes, sing. Those who can't sing, sing rock 'n' roll. Those who can't sing roc 'n' roll, sing it anyway. Those who can't sing it anyway, become depressed. Those who can't become depressed, get bitter. Those who can't get bitter, get confused. Those who get confused, stay confused. Those who stay confused, find it difficult to complete unfinished sentences. Those who find it difficult to complete unfinished sentences, ________."
So, remind me why we go to school?

And the Liberal thing, is exactly why I prefer to learn from life, instead of a classroom. I never allow schooling to interfere with my education.

Cleavage is fine, as long as you don't have to listen to it. I never said I was against cleavage.

I DO find it amusing though, that some of you rushed to the defense of the dealerships! Aren't some of you the same folks who also call them "stealerships"?

You don't suppose do you, that the government might just have the same jaundiced eye of how dealerships are run? You don't think it's crossed anyone's mind that a dealer might "tell" the government that he gave you $4500 for your used car, when, in fact, he didn't give you anything at all? Remember how this works: The dealer says he gave you a $4500 rebate for your "clunker", then he gets it all back from the government! Don't we want our government to keep the dealers honest?

Or maybe you all secretly think dealers are honest as the day is long and you resent anyone being suspicious! Enron and a few other companies relied on that way of thinking.

Beck said straight up that it's dealer log in, which means consumer is not monitored. Only the dealers have to worry about it.

Secondly, the dealer (aside from the consumer) is the one receiving money from the govt, OF COURSE they have to become the proverbial "female dog" of the govt.

Also important to note is that this kind of stuff has been around for decades, you cant blame the Obama Admin for it. You have to blame society for allowing it to happen.

As for the Fourth Amendment "issue," it's a nonissue. The dealer EXPRESSLY AGREES with the disclaimer, so...........it's their own fault for taking my tax money from the govt.

What about all the information the dealer has on his computer that is used to process the consumers' information? The dealer is not the only one to be concerned....all the information on the computer that is used to input the many consurmers is at risk.

What about if it's a home computer that the sales' person uses to process the information? The users that use the computer is at risk just because that computer was used to process at least one single transaction.

Sure the dealer may agree to these disclaimer, but the comsumers never did.

Right. The dealer has a choice, I forgot about that.

Are you kidding me? It's basically blackmail. No one is going to buy a car from a dealer that won't give them the clunker rebate that they are eligible for.

Either agree to the governments terms, or don't sell any cars and have a high probability of going out of business.

Like has been pointed out, if the dealerships are allowing the government to access all of their information, they are allowed to access all of their customers information. There, admittedly, isn't much left that is "private", but continuing to give the government a pass is just going to allow them to have absolute power over us. Obama has made it clear that he doesn't expect all of this to happen overnight. He's exhibited patience. He's willing to wait as long as, one day, the government has the ability to dictate who can have, and how much.
