Dennis, Kilroy started it. I used the same word he did. Read the posts.

Kilroy, lighten up and don't be such an a$$hole. I did mention the increased standard of living as a reason I'm better off (not only a 'self-made man'). This comes from changes in technology which is basically brought about by savings/investment. Ironic, that now the savings rate is at an all-time low with times as good as they are. We are basically consuming at the expense of future generations (geez, I do remember something from Econ 101).

What will be interesting is how many people will jump on the president (whoever wins) when the stock market doesn't perform at the level it recently has. Might be a no win situation.

I never said Regan & Bush were my guys, 'dumbass'. All I tried to say is that in my opinion, Clinton has rode the wave and he is not the only reason times are good. Type and swear til your red in the face 1/2 voted for Gore and 1/2 voted for Bush. Now where did I put that red color crayon and my US map?

Thumbs up

The greatest President we ever had was Ronald Millhouse Reagan.

Now that's a strong statement from me considering I'm Bill Clinton's love child
(well, one of them anyway).

btr, okay. You both get your things together and march yourselves down to the principal's office. Geesh, I feel like I'm teaching kids again!

It's Richard Milhous Nixon and Ronald Prescott Reagan and the ONLY thing Reagan has to be proud of is his pardoning of Merle Haggard.

Kilroy said:
"I was WORSE off after eight years of Reagan and still no better after four years of Bush."

So Kilroy, it's the president's fault you went nowhere in 12 years? BONEHEAD, its your fault! I'm better off, but I credit my own efforts and the increased standard of living everyone enjoys today.

I didn't rip anyone. I was just trying to say it is a little much to give Clinton complete credit for the good economy and skyrocketing stock market (which hasn't done very well this year). We have a Republican congress and they worked together. The Federal Reserve Chairman is the man, the president does not tell him what to do.

Kilroy,
I have been avoiding replying to this thread because you are so abrasive, you remind me of Roofer on p/utruck.com, who must spend way to much time in the sun without a hat. I don't know where you get off saying the military has had more pay raises under Clinton than Bush or Reagan. You don't have a clue, Reagan Gave the military something like 15% his first year in and 8% the next year. You know what the military got from Clinton? **** in the military, "Don't ask, don't tell". Yea that has worked real well.
As far as you citing accidents/incidents from other eras, does the USS Cole come to mind? I can't blame the presidents for accidents like this and neither can you.
Your statement about getting a piece of tail is not illegal, in some states it is and in the military it is. So how can you expect the military to respect this POS? and anyone close to him (read Gore).
Dennis,
As long as you are making money it doesn't matter how immoral the president is? Maybe I'm old fashioned but I do have pride in this country. When someone who is trusted with leading the country lies to it's face and says "I never had sexual relations with that woman", he has lost the confidence of the american public and he should have been removed from office.

2000Lariat, most, if not all the Presidents in the last 40+ years have been less than "moral." Probably longer than that. I'd go out on a limb and say that most of the Presidents have been less than moral.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but it's just the way it is. It's the same thing all around the world.

What really gets me are the holier than thou religious conservatives who put themselves on pedestals. As far as I can tell, they're a bunch of hypocrits. Take for instance, Jim Baaker. He ripped off his congregation. Pat Robertson begat a child with his wife before they were married. Several times a year we hear about Priests being charged with sexual assault. Don't forget that other tel-evangelist, Jimmy Swaggert, who fooled around on his wife.

Seems like the more people thump on their Bibles, the more they have to hide.

I'm not saying all Bible thumpers are like the above. I'm sure the vast majority live their lives in a moral manner. It just seems like those who protest the most have sinned just as badly as others have.

Clinton isn't the first and he won't be the last.

BTW, you need to be educated about something. Gays have been in the military since there was a military. To even think that gays have suddenly been allowed in the military since Clinton became Commander in Chief is... Well, I'm at a loss for words.

[sarcasm mode on] God, I can't hardly wait for this thread to degenerate to the point that you all start posting racial slurs.

Kilroy, I'm pretty sure Reagan's middle name was Wilson.

Is anybody else, besides me, sickened by the "hidden" message in the picture with the dog that LowcountryLariat posted? On the surface, it appears to be funny, but the not so subtle "hidden" message is very troubling.

I'll give you a hint: "Heil Hitler"

Whoever took that picture is an anti-semite. The dog that's pissing on the Gore-Lieberman sign is a Miniature Schnauzer. The breed originated in Germany. I know this because my friend's stepmother has one and she's a German who grew up in **** Germany during the war.

I guess I was wrong. The racial slurs have already started.

I think you are reaching on the dog there Dennis. As far as Gays (I will be politically correct just so you don't think I'm a racist, which means you are reaching again) I will have to agree they have always been there, now they are to be "tolerated" by receiving sensitivity training and B.S. like that. Before they were discharged, which was perfrectly fine with me. Don't know if you have ever served but, have you noticed that most things don't bother people, until it affects them? Civilians really don't care about this because it does not affect them, it's just the men and women (didn't you belittle them earlier by calling them boys and girls, see I can reach too!) of the military have to put up with decisions made by civilians. Which is fine because of checks and balances, it just doesn't always sit well.

Dennis, either reagan's or "little" ron's middle names are "wilson" and "prescott." I can't keep track of those two idiots, but one's "wilson" and the other's "prescott." 2000Lariat, were you in the military under reagan and bush? I was. I was in the Navy under reagan, bush, and Clinton and I still have my pay records from those years. You're mostly talking out of your *** now, homey. I pointed out all of those mishaps for the ignorant (that would be you) who keep crying and moaning about the military being unprepared under Bill Clinton. It was less prepared under your two gods of stupidity. As far as bringing in "****" to the military, after serving with idiots like you and having officers that wrote that silly little diatribe that began this (see James Cagney's character in "Mister Roberts," because that is VERY accurate for an officer portrayal in the Navy), I was more than happy to give up my place to ANYONE who wanted it, gay, straight, or otherwise. I'll let you get back to your "700 Club" airing, or cross burning, or whatever it is you do to amuse yourself, DUDE.

You're right Dennis. I just looked at http://www.biography.com and it says the old man's middle name is "wilson" and "little" ron's is "prescott."

Dennis & Kilroy-
Try working with a bunch of Die-Hard republicans around you, and all I have heard for the past two weeks is talk radio with Rush Limba and other idiots. That gets really sickening, and personally I feel that it is a form of harassment in the work place, because I shouldn't have to listen to that crap.
You have people trying to say that all the media is taking sides with Gore-Liberman, but yet you have these people that have nothing better to do, than cram the radio with talk and hype over the election. Rightfully so, there should be, but there comes a point and time where enough is enough. I have to laugh at the number of people that take the time out of their day, to call into these radio shows, and talk about the darn thing....
I thought that I was going to be done with all of this over the election when November 7, 2000 rolled around, and now it is even worse. How long until they start running political ads about this????????? Calling each other names like before the election. I guess what I am saying, is every politican out there is a liar, theif, abuser....because all you have to do is hold a straight face when you talk to your "public" and low and behold they believe everything that is said. I just am sick of the whole thing. On the news what do you hear about all the time now?? It is either about this election, or someone was murdered...How ironic that Bush is considered into both of those?????????????
What is even more shocking....Has anyone seen Andrew F-series here to defend what he posted?????? Nope I haven't seen him, other than posting those two pics and that was it....if you are posting something to this effect, then you darn well better defend what the heck you are writing!!!!!!
