True. They tend to not do more than is necessary because they have already thought out the situation before working on it, though, so there would be no point in growing it if you could buy it.
Model the taxation process after tobacco, it's pretty much the same with different effects.

Not arguing with you, just trying to refute the points that are holding back legalization. We're not all potheads by the way.

For every one reason some can say you "shouldn't" legalize it there are 10 reasons why we should, that's all I'm trying to point out.

Back to the guys that grown their own tobacco, how much money does the Tobacco Industry lose because of them? Such an insignificant amount that it doesn't really matter right? Like pissing into the ocean. I feel the same would be true with those that would homegrow. Hell, people grow their own MJ now and it's still the number 1 cash crop in many states!

It gets deleted when illegal activity is promoted.
Taking sides of an argument and discussing reasonable alternatives to a problem are not promoting illegal activity IMHO.

Yes, lots of people grow their own. Huge cash crop. If you lived in Northern CA you would see just how large a roll it really does play.

You hear the backwards *** bible thumping Officer out in S.C. (where pic was taken) is now asking for proof that is was in fact MJ, so he can prosecute a misdemeanor against Mr. Phelps. What BS !!!! Is he trying to gain attention ? 15 minutes ? Jealous of Phelps ? Its crap, however you look at it.

I don't think for a crime of this nature, you should ever prosecute unless you are there to witness and apprehend. But, I don't believe in red light cameras either. If it were a crime against another, different story.

Hey look, something we agree on !

I thought to prosecute against a misdemeanor (non traffic violation) that cop had to witness it first hand. If he doesn't, then the citizen there can make a "citizen's arrest" and then the cop can place him under arrest. Thats what i was tought anyways. Anyone know any truth to that ? LEO's ?

quote from SC police spokesman:

"The bottom line is, if he broke the law, and he did it in Richland County, he's going to be charged," Cowan said. "And there's no difference between Michael Phelps and several other people that we arrest for the same type of a charge everyday."

Did you see MSNBC's hour long special on MJ?

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28354324/
http://www.cnbc.com/id/28281668?__so...nainc|&par=vty

They talked to people in Mendocino County and the people living there said if the police actually enforced MJ laws, the whole county would go under.

I didn't really think the show was all that great, but at least it wasn't gungho negative about MJ.
