They have no choice if he didn't break any contractual stipulations.

The economy is bad, they can't afford to throw money away.

but it seems to be fact , that people accept, pot smoking is going to happen, and that it is on of the minor worries of our society.
It's the nose candy causing so many problems.
The only ones that don't understand these things, are the sheep that follow and not think for themselves

EXACTLY !!! thank you Stealth, good points !

*********************************

plus, people are still gunna love this guy. Girls will still go crazy for him. People will buy his books and what not, they did after his DUI, so why not now ?

Its really not a big deal. Some superstar smokes pot. Woopy. Plenty do. He was caught. Said his sorries. Sponsors said they will back him, Olympic committee said they don't care.... just a couple of us bucktooth, backwards thinking, archaic law abiding, bible thumping, hillbilly Americans who think "pot is the devil" who actually care.

Why ? Why does it matter ? He smokes pot, so what ? With or with out him, most of your kids will try it, just like you did. With or with out him, people toke up all the time. And, even though he smokes pot, he is a far more accomplished person at age 23, then any of us will ever live to be. Quit worrying about everyone around you, focus on yourself for awhile.

MOST? it may seem like it but no, I don't think MOST people try it. I didn't, my wife didn't, and my son hasn't and won't if he expects to continue living under my roof.

I believe you like to think you're the poster boy for mj legalization. You know why legalization will never happen, because the stoners keep forgetting where they put the petitions. LOL

Sorry man ! what do they say in movies ??? Any similarities are simply coincidence !

So, to me it seems like most, and to you it seems like a minority. but my facts are bias, and yours are not ???

Lets see, MJ is the most widely abused drug in the WORLD. Used more then cigs or booze.

just highschool seniors:
40 percent of high school seniors reporting use at least once in their lifetimes
comes from a seemingly anti-pot site:
http://www.nida.nih.gov/infofacts/marijuana.html

There are some percentages on the bottom for you. Yes, you kid will smoke pot. I would bet you any amount of cash in the world. They will try it. might not like it, might not "inhale" but they will take a puff or two sometime before they die. If you haven't, then you really have no ground to stand on. You have no idea what it does, or how it affects people.

Want more stats ? I can keep going. Yes, the majority of people have smoked pot. That just means they have tried it, not that they toke up every day.

I believe you like to think you're the poster boy for mj legalization. You know why legalization will never happen, because the stoners keep forgetting where they put the petitions. LOL
Far from the poster boy. I am not all that for open legalization. Yes, I think it should happen, but far more important would be medical use. Some of these sick and dying people act as a far better poster boy. I think that I am involved with this fight on a much larger scale then most. This involves my life, far more then you'd think, and far more then it matters to you (either way). This is a cause I spend a lot of time and money on. Don't assume !! C'mon now !

And yes, it will happen. We are closer and closer everyday. I remember being told medical pot was a joke, and would never happen. We are now 12 states into it, and growing. More states are debating the issue as we speak. It will happen, just going to take time. We need the old timers, who still believe in "Reefer Madness" to step down. Again, bring up ONE good reason to keep it illegal. I would like to know why you like our national debt, why do you like using trees as paper ? Deforestation ? Nylon for rope ? Pills for pain ? Booze to relax ? Replace all those with pot (being general but you get my point). WHY ??? Why on earth ? Its a natural growing plant. Nothing added to it. You dry it up, and smoke it. Can't od, can't become addicted, nothing.

another credible site:

http://www.time.com/time/health/arti...821697,00.html

pay attention here, this is what I was getting at many posts ago.

U.S. has a high percentage of people who have tried it. Its illegal here.

Netherlands have really relax laws about pot, in contrast, only 20% of them have tried it. Its not longer the "cool" thing to do, when it becomes acceptable. So, your thoughts of everyone running out to get stoned when its legal hold no ground. Other places of the world have proven that to be just not true. Much like how we treat booze, buts that another thread.

another:

Nearly three-fourths of older Americans support legalizing marijuana (search) for medical use, according to a poll done for the nation's largest advocacy group for seniors.
Thats from Fox:

You simply cannot become physically addicted or chemically addicted to pot. I have stopped for months on end, no withdrawl, didn't die. Nothing. You can die from booze withdrawl, but that ok right ?

habit forming, sure. Much like biting your fingernails. Just a "bad" habit, not an addiction.

figured I'd appease everyone. Funny how that wasn't my ONLY site I brought up. Nor my only fact. Heck, i didn't even read that one much. Just posted to it show my point. Its pretty agreed on across the board.

BTW, good arguement. Excellent job ! I see you don't try and debate the facts, just make fun of one site I have posted. Way to go !

try again.

Native AMericans did !! Peyote (sp?)

Not into the crazy stuff personally. I don't like to see stuff, or loose control. I smoke pot vs. taking a crap load of pills. Pot does a better job, and doesn't give me the runs, addiction, that pill high-just wierd, not myself when wiped out on percocet. Can't function with those drugs man. Plus, when your addicted to those, its no joke. You throw your life away. Pills are BAD news. I have lost a couple friends to OD's on prescription drugs. None on pot. I will run that risk any day. All drugs are bad, but I choose the lesser of the evils IMO. Since its my body, my opinion matters far more to me then most of yall here. No offense. I also have doctors who SUGGESTED using pot. These were Kaiser docs, who don't make a dime off this subscription. They suggested it to me, and said I should think about it. Again, I would trust their judgement over yours. They tend to know a little more about this subject then Joe Schmo. They are also risking the doc license, and are willing to, because they think this is the right/best route to go. not for all, but for some.
