USA Swimming just suspended him for 3 months....



Honestly, I think its smart. not a bad punishment at all. His next competition he was planning to go to, is in more then 3 months. He wont miss it. He really isn't being punished, but it sets an example for all the little young aspiring swimmers, showing them you don't get away with everything. I think its actually a good idea. Kinda a win-win idea for both sides. Phelps loses nothing, kids see even the greatest can be "punished".

 

So what does this picture prove? I see no smoke at all. It looks like he had pulled the steam out of the bong, placed his thumb over the hole and was checking for leaks.
