Some of the more lively and interesting discussions I've seen have been between people who disagree on something. Let's just say, gay marriage. Just the concept of that may offend people, so are we not to discuss it? Where is the line? That's the gray area I'm referring to.

This forum does have it's share of very intelligent people who can hold a conversation with others from opposing view points, without getting nasty. Of course there are other members here who can't. So are we to go with the idea that one bad apple spoils the bunch, and not discuss controversial issues at all, since those with the mentality of a 10 year old could say something stupid and get the thread, locked, deleted, what have you?

We have had many threads with discussion of volitile issues where good debate was carried on with reasonableness. There are those, as you say, that have difficulty discussing things without getting heated, personal and insulting. If we catch one of those posts early, then we can delete the post, deal with the poster and let the thread continue. If no moderators catch one of those threads until it's out of hand(we all have jobs and lives), then it's best to delete the thread. There would be little continuity if you took the time to go through and delete offending posts and places where they are quoted.

I think we have made a lot of progress with our debates. We have some long ongoing political and religeous discussions. Those are topics of passion , so I think it's great when we can discuss and if nothing else, learn what and how others think. The key is the poster having self control and being tactful with what he says.

It is sad that there are a group of people that insist on trying to make everything a gray area and always feel wronged by "The Man" when a decision is made to pull a thread, lock a thread or somebody is suspended.
Quit whining, use common sense and you will be fine.

When you push the limits you eventually find out where they are. Don't cry when you do eventually find them, leap over and are punished.

Og, just curious, what were the main factors in going with a HD as opposed to a lariat or KR?

Kinda off topic, but anyway, I always wanted a HD. I fell in love with the 2003 Anniversary S/C model, but I couldn't get my hands on one back in '07 when I was ready to buy. Love the '07, too. Don't regret the purchase. It doesn't have the S/C, but looking to purchase a Roush piece later during my "customization phase". There were too many Lariats around and the King Ranch is cool, just not into the two-tone color choices Ford offers on them. On a side note, I love the Limited. - Og

Ive always loved the HD, especially the 03s, and the present ones are too shabby themselves. Ive never heard one complaint out of the owners and the trucks always seem to be top notch. Hopefully I will join the HD club soon.

P.S. thread was going no where and it was pointless to begin with.

I don't fully agree with you. I agree that this thread was going no where, but it was not pointless. I created this thread to show of my IBTL picture I made, thus giving this thread a point.

Yall can delete the thread now.
Even said it could be deleted. Wasn't trying to make big waves...

Can someone fill me in? What's the difference between suspended or banned? Is there a way to see when people get to come back and help out the forum?

IMO, all of the locked threads and suspensions were warranted... Except mine
