Wife and I are both engineers, no kids

Total household income (on paper) is $128k/year.

She's got her masters, i'm wrapping up mine. Looking for a new gig to get paid what I'm actually worth. Could go up to $140-$147k/year.

The truck is her toy. I just borrow it to haul mine around

I hear that quite often also....I always tell them the City Council approved it so who am I to turn it down. If they want to get out from behind their desk and strap on the gear they can have the luxury of working 14 days a month making about $100K...

Yep, take the drug supply from the street level dealers, hold on to it for demand, mark it up and resell it. GENIUS!

Some people think that all LEOs get paid the same ~$30,000 salary.

Have you ever seen what a college award letter looks like?

I can use the excess funds from grants and scholarships however I want. They give you a budget, which is a rough estimate of your daily expenses, and determine your financial need from there. This was from 2006-2007, so it's a bit dated amount, but you get the idea. Any funds I dont use for tuition and books gets paid to me directly after the fourth week of class. (they write me a check for whats left over) This award letter only affects grants and loans, scholarships are an entirely different story. The money you receive isn't regulated, it's sent to you as a check for deposit, and whos to say I can't spend some of my money on a nice truck? As long as you make the grade, that's all that matters. I have a 3.9 gpa with 3 years under my belt, 2 years away from my bachelors in nursing, and another 3 away from my masters.

If the money is there, why not take it? Don't I deserve it just as much as the next guy?
