I Am 18 and have been making $30K a year since my sophmore year in high school. Was working close to 70 hours a week plus school. Now I am a full tiem college student and work 45 hours a week being a inspector. The truck, quad is in my name. I pay for everything besides a house payment, water adn electric bill. yet buy food in return for the family of 5.

I'm in my middle 30's, and I'm a manager for a mortgage processing center for a huge mortgage bank. Fortunately for me, I work in Reverse Mortgages, one of the only mortgage sectors that's still growing. I make about a year right now, but was making about a year ago with bonuses. But those bonuses have pretty much gone away as a result of the overall decline of the mortgage industry.

im sorry but that doesnt add up. not trying to raise the B.S. flag but... there are 168 hours in a week, say school is 8 hours a day, so theres 40 hours a week plus your 70 of work. theres 110 hours. this leaves 58 hours for sleep. 58 hours divided by 8 and you get the picture? you have no time for travel to and from school or work or eating or basically anything. it just doesnt add up? maybe your just over exagerating? idk

I'm soon to be 42, married, 3 kids, mortgage, 2 car payments, 4 dogs, etc. Anyway, I'm a steelworker and we just signed a new cotract and we now get $22+ an hour. Two years ago, with a little ot I made 82K for the year, I made 76K last year. Oh, and the wife brings in another 30K from her job.

Here is a pic of my truck from today after I gave it a bath.

I'm 25yrs old and i work for an Electric Utility company making about 35k a year. My position is entry level and i'm currently working my way up the ladder, so luckily that figure will rise substantially over the years. I support myself and my gf, all though she does work as well (sales coordinator). She wants to get married and have kids, so i'm buying up all the toys i can now before i have to start buying them for children instead.

When ever somebody asks me what I make, I tell them to get the paper at the end of the Fiscal year, All of our salaries are posted for everybody to see, some of the tax payers get pissed when they see a public servant makin 90-100K a year, & I tell them, you have no clue how much we had to work to make that!..........

College is roughly 3 hours a night and work is 8 or 9 so that makes sense. When I was in high school in 10 grade I had school for 6 hours and worked for 8 hours during the day and my weekends working 14 hours as I worked at a warehosue fixing the cheap quads and chinese bikes and stuff making 10 under the table. All I did was work, school and sleep. Also I slept in some of my classes so I made up for it there and didnt hurt my gpa either.

How much do I make? Hell if I know, the year is not over. As a contractor you can make a lot or a little. Right now I have done over $50k in business but growing the last 2 years means reinvesting a lot, like the jackhammer I bought this week.

Honestly, on paper, I will have most likely lost money this year.
