They broke the law by declaring their independance from a nation that was unfairly and grossly over taxing them.....oh.......um, yeah, well anyway. I just thought I would throw this out there> When slaves were purchased, they were purchased with American Dollars, not Confederate. When the ships transported them back, it was underneath horizontal red/white bars not an "X". The war wasnt about Slavery, slaves were freed by the Emancipation Proclamation in 1864, but only in the south. Slaves were freed in the North in 1867, 3 years later. Good luck, I am not racist I just research stuff before i speak. I hate the world acts like this, even in the case of a non-damaging accident. We know what is in our hearts and will be judged accordingly.

Ok... First off, Sorry if I offended anyone. When I commented about the way I was raised I wasn't saying I didn't like black people. I have black, white, brown, yellow, orange, green, all colored friends. I have seen women of all races who were extremely attractive, and some who aren't. I will not raise my children to dislike or look down on any race just because of their experience with one person from that race. However, I will teach them to be proud of where they came from. People from the north and the south owned slaves. It wasn't wrong then, but it is now. The same as the *****, What they did was right in their minds. Something can be right to some people and wrong to others. When I see a black person married to or dating a white person, It doesn't bother me. I am a proud redneck and I dated an asian girl. Sure I was told that I was a "poser" or was just acting like a redneck just cause my friends did. No matter what you do there will always be some one who thinks its wrong. I am happy with all of the results of this thread though.

 

i know exactly what you mean, somthing similar happends to my brother but he flew a big rebel flag/sc flag off the back of his truck and they stole the flag and keyed his truck and probly had a get to gether later and burned the flag talkin bout the white devil haha just ignore her ignorance
