We go to the spring Bristol race every year. It's tradition to crack open a cold beer when we cross into Tennessee.

Back on topic. It's not that I don't like black people or brown people or yellow people or blue people - I just don't like anyone.

I wont fly the American Flag from my truck.

I will fly it from a flag pole in my yard.

Theres no possible way to show the respect to the American Flag flying it from the truck.
1. If its raining the Flag must come down
2. At night the Flag must be taken down or lighted up.
3. When the Flag is Taken down it must be done correctly not just wrapped around the pole and shoved in the toolbox.
4. I try very hard to keep my American Flag in good condition and thats hard to do flying from a moving truck.
5. Plus if the Flag got ripped off and landed on the road you would have to PROPERLY retire it. (which means turn anround go back get it then retire it properly)

6. The only time the American Flag will fly from my truck is at a car show, parade (spll), or on special occasions when my truck wont be moving fast.

I was putting trash in my dumpster at work and found a flag in it. MF's just use my dumpster all the time. But anyway, I got it out and retired it with the respect required. That just pisses me off. Some Dumb *** got patriotic when the war began, then threw the flag in the trash when he got tired of it.

Yeah i know what you mean.

You know all the little flags that stick in your window that everyone bought right after 9/11?

Every day on my way home i was passing them that had come off because the driver opened the window.

So me and a buddy decided it was time and we got in the truck with a few milk crates and went and picked up everyone that we could find then retired them.

It was hard to do because how small they where but it felt right. There was over 50 of them actually i think the final count was 56 1/2 yes we found half of a flag. plain disrespect

I was on an Honor Gaurd at one time. Plenty of pass and reviews. I also fill in sometimes for the VFW at funerals.
I think it should be taught in every school to every child what that flag represents and how to handle and fold it.
But thats just me.

Its sad that our flag gets so little respect from the people who are supposed to be proud of it. There are very few in my generation that know how to handle a flag, and it really makes me mad to see the way the flag is treated now.

Not at all. I am 100% sure that there are others who think just like you.

It's only about 5 miles from the county line tho. I was up there earlier this year. The liquor stores were full of Jail bait. College town Ya know!

The comment about opencontainer law must have refered to Tennessee. They'll Bust your *** here with a .02 you can get a DUI unless you are very nice to the Man.
