Lucky for us Virginians we have idiots running it. You MUST open carry into any establishment that serves alcohol for on premises use. Good thing is that here in Nova a lot of people assume your a cop or some federal agent. It is funny how little people know about the laws regarding handguns in their own state.
Where did you find this at?

As a CCW holder I am forbidden from concealed carry in an establishment that serves alcohol. However, I can wear my Sig on my hip and be fine? Weird...

FWIW, I would definately advise to NOT openly carry into a bar, or really anywhere for that matter. Someone mentioned earlier in this thread the possible issues with open carry and all of them are valid ones.

I'll tell you what - on these hot summer days, that 13 oz Airweight .357 sure is nice. It drops right into the pocket in my shorts, or hides discreetly in an IWB. Either way, I'm not walking around wondering if someone will see my .45 printing through a t-shirt.

I absolutely love my serpa! Comfortable and adjustable. Plus the carbon fiber looks sweet!

I have since switched to the belt system as it is easier to get on and off than the paddle. The paddle just has so many things that get caught on my pants

www.opencarry.org

You can learn a lot on there. Not just for VA
Just FYI if you do CC into a restaurant in va that serves alcohol, you are subject to being arrested if anyone spots the gun. (i.e. the outline of it in you shirt or something) Not sure if it is felony or misdemeanor?
Direct link to va laws. http://www.opencarry.org/va.html
and one directly to the law regarding restaurants. http://www.vcdl.org/letters/ABC_Letter.pdf
You could say I have been on the forums there for a little while

I've actually got the same exact holster, just without the carbon fiber exposed.

Dude I love it so much. Oh and I am so eager to get to the range!!! I completely disassembled my Glock last week and put in a 3.5lb connector, spring, extended mag and slide release and magwell plug.

Dang that sucks! I go to the NRA range in the basement of the main NRA building up here The saying is that if you don't have to trailer it in, you can shoot it I really like the facilities there though. Always a range master on duty, everything is bulletproof glass, and all controls are digital for the targets. You can even program the target to turn around at random I think so you can practice your surprise defensive shooting Oh and I wear inner and over the ear protection because some of the guns in there will send a really nice shockwave through you!

The Glock is much better for concealed carry, maintenance, and reliability.

Wow 4 months since the last post, and the conversation just continues like nothing.

Oh and the Glock is much better compared to what? Everything? If that's what your trying to say then you need to do some research there are much better guns out there for much better prices.

I'm not a fan of the glocks. They just don't feel good in my hands.

I miss thumper...

Anyways, I just got a XDM .40 and love it. The M has a larger clip, and a etched barrel. Im olny 17 but my dad got it for me for christmas. At 18 I will carry it in my truck, and at 21 I will get a concealed carry license, even though I will probably never carry it.

Of the three I carry, I like my Kel Tec Pf9 the best. I'll take a glock any day as far as accuracy and simplicity goes, but it's not the easiest to conceal. The Kel Tec is a single stack 9mm 7 +1. Much easier to conceal, American made, and a fine shooting gun.
