Foreign VS American the Truth
I forget who's sig it was but i loved it...it said "Fly your american flag but dont let it block the view of your tundra" im going to kick off the 4th of july the right way....Shooting some rice burners with a 12Gauge and fireworks up north.
Even thoe my truck was made in canada. it has an AMERICAN auto makers name stamped on it and the profits go to america. "Buy american...or the next job lost could be yours!!!" i live in southeastern michigan and i cant tell you how many people get made fun of for there forigen cars...You guys can keep all that to your self... Big 3 or nothing for me. got my 97 F-150 my moms got a 2005 500. and we also have a 1971 corvette Stingray. Happy 4th of july

Damn right shifty, Canadian and American, we share an Auto Pact, or kinda basically follow it, the big 3 anyways. I'm a CAW member right across the river from ya. Patman has that saying, I remember because I like it too.
I've actually now have had a bit of time to read this, a topic I'm very very passionate about. Working alot these days, you know, so no time. I gotta really side with notable posters like Lumadar to name one. Basically, buy what you want, no one can tell you what to spend your money on in a free and open market. Whenever possible, make sure if you even have the choice, buy American made, or Canadian made products. The 2 countries go hand in hand. Foreign companies come here, are suggested to produce here if they want to sell and look what happens. It opens up a trade imbalance. You produce 100 000 vehicles yet sell in the same country 750 000. Ask China, Japan, Korea why they won't allow our products to be sold there or very little? Kinda one sided, no?
Now, as far as the USA companies that sell cars here made in Korea, China and Mexico (Mexico's a tough one, the whole NAFTA thing), is that right? Oh hell no. Whatever the case, you want to drive ugly jap cars, be my guest. I personally think cars and trucks shouldn't be so ugly and point out the fact that it is screaming a to b practicality. A box with wheels and some glorified lawn chairs. An example is the Civic or Camry. One would think who'd want one of these things? Anyone see a Subaru Tribeca SUV? WTF is that ugly POS?
Oh ya, the union thing? Easy excuse. I will admit, the PEOPLE often ruin a sound principle that is organized labour. The Japanese have a company bone hugging mentality. I work to live not live to work.
