Wow!! My suggestion would be to buy a case of the cheapest tranny fluid he can find and keep it full until he can get a new hose.

By the sounds of it, its leaking pretty bad, so I doubt that'd last long. Plus I don't think a hot motor covered in oil is a safe thing...

Yeah its not the greatest suggestion but it will get you home in a pinch when you cant repair it I have had to do it once my self. And I suppose he doesnt have a clue which is the HP side and which is the LP side.
