It shouldn't be that much louder. The dump is right after the axle.

Took the pipes off in about 5 minutes, took her for a spin, sounds quieter than before. Now it will look cleaner once I get everything put on the truck.

yay glad you like it. best thing to do is wait several months for a real cold morning, then do a start up and watch where the exhaust blows to know for sure it's path.

im almost done with work today, was scheduled this weekend. Its all extra overtime so i dont mind too much :o

It blows just about straight down. The pipes exit below the rear axle (after the over axle), lower than I thought. Nothing there in the path.
