Let's start over......
Right. The max air or recirculate setting just recycled the cab air. Gets colder quicker. No fresh air from outside. So it will always be outside air coming in. Not a big problem.

my 2012 f250 has this ac thing where when you start the truck the air coming out of the vents is extremely hot after about 1 minutes something happens (like a door opens) and cold air comes out and it is fine util you turn the truck off then it does it again. the dealer wanted $1800 to fix it..........not my daily so we just let it run for a minute or 2 before getting in. they told me a blend door and the dash has to come out to repair. this after i had to replace rocker arms on a truck with 44k miles. not real happy about it.

often times people call any HVAC motor a "blend door motor" because thats most common term used so they are most familiar with it. But each function has its own name. Blend door, Mode door, Recirculation door. And if you have dual climate control, you have potentially two modes, and two blend doors

The only one I somewhat regret in retrospect is the LTD, as I’d kind of like to use the money I put into it for something different - maybe a Marauder or Crown Victoria Sport? I’m torn, though, because oddly enough that’s the one car that people out-and-about seem to find the most interesting - probably because you don’t see them around very much anymore and the condition of the vehicle is absolutely over the top!
I’ve also thought about different things I could have done collection-wise. One idea is that since I love short box/regular cab trucks so much, it would have been kind of neat to have one of each from GM, Ford and Dodge. Or maybe go model specific and have (for example) Monte Carlo’s from each of the various generations.
So many cars - so little time (and storage space).......

My truck only came with one key/keyfob. Ford dealership was going to charge me over $200 for a new one plus cut it and program it. Guess what? I found 2 new keys with keyfob on Ebay for $20. Walmart cut them for me for free, and I programed them myself using Forscan. They both work even with the remote start. Forscan is awesome.

My goal is the flareside trifecta. My truck converted to a flareside in a few years, a Gen 2 lightning, and a 92-96 f150 flareside. Some day would love a restomoded '56 or similar year range f100. The others are all super attainable

i don't see the market for 50's truck really going up. for $30k to $40 k you can get something really nice for cheaper than you could ever build it.
the prices are creeping up on the 80-90's f150 and clean lightning are inching up also (clean low mile being the secret). i bought a real rough 96 f150 single cab ,275,000 mile, short bed 5.0 my other stuff is to nice for me to mess with. i want to slowly mess with it and bring it back from the dead. it runs and drives , I can actually pull the motor and trans and work on the 5.0 myself.
