Let's start over......
Yea i inquired about that. Lets just say i can get painted bumpers, 20inch sport wheels/tires and possibly a level kit for front fenders and hood clear bra
I am getting very interested in the ceramic coatings though. Been doing alot of research and found 1 place in town that does it. I called and asked a few questions and he seemed to answer them pretty well. Only thing is hes quoting very cheap prices. 1 stage paint correction and the 2 year coating for $400.
Just kinda worries me someone that isnt charging more for his labor. The ceramic coating product is roughly 100 dollars give or take, then figure labor, correction, clay etc that sure seems awfully cheap for a bussiness.
Id like to try to do it myself, with my knowledge of detailing i think i could wipe it out pretty good. Im sure that may help a little bit for protection on the front of the truck for rock chips.

Storm is moving inland and heading straight for central Florida. Still a cat 2. Somehow I still have power at the moment. Wind is getting ugly. Can't stop eating my emergency food

Looks like a similar application process to regular coatings.
Just spent 2 hours today getting this one cleaned up. Really loving the silver though (1st time ever having one). This one goes the longest between washes and always by far looks the cleanest.
Its not the showiest color by anymeans but still like it. Think the next f150 is going to be silver.
I did the ceramic coating by McKee on the white SCrew I have. White is hard for anything to do much with. It doesn't need washing near as often, stays clean, and is slick as glass. I used their prep which is like a polish, then did an alcohol wash, then applied it. A little goes a long way. Since I applied it about 4 months ago, I can't say how long it will last but I've read where you can take a good carnuba over the top of it for more shine. I got my stuff from Auto Geeks. They have different brands of ceramic coatings. I ended up buying McKees because it was on sale. Yeah, I can be cheap sometimes but it was still 80 bucks. Since you've done so much with your vehicles, putting this on is a no brainer.
you can pay more on the clear bra and have them do the entier hood and front fenders, about twice the price.
i just had the partial Xpel done on my sons 2012 and saving it from the rock chips will be worth it over seeing the line from certain angles.
truck had someone back into the front , so i had it repaired then waited 3 months and had the xpel put on.

This week was the first since the hurricane hit that gas has been back to normal here in Houston -- last week finding a station with fuel in their tanks was still pretty iffy.
They did OK no flooding. One nephew had some flooding at his ranch in Rosharon and my niece had some water in her house in Sienna Plantation. The other nephew in Friendswood had minor rain damage. He and his wife came over to our house Sunday to pick up some supplies for cleaning mold. Hope you made out OK with the storm...one reason I got out of the New Orleans area is from the flooding and traffic congestion in case of evacuation. Hoping the Houston area gets back to normal quickly and not like New Orleans dragging their feet for 12 yrs since Katrina.
We were fine where I am up in the Tomball area. I'll be looking at several homes down in Sienna later this week that were impacted -- that area being hit so hard was the biggest surprise to me since that development is so new and higher-end you would THINK they would have better water control infrastructure in place! But, when you get that much rain I guess everything involves a healthy dose of luck....
