Went and played mobile mechanic and rescued a friend who broke #1 cylinder spark plug in his 2005 5.4 3v. Got the remainder out and changed the other 7 out successfully!

Wasn't quite sure how to tell my friend that the only other time I attempted an extraction I still ended up pulling the headoff the engine

Had a fun evening planned. Decided to go to the dirt track races in abilene. Left about 430 got up there ate some BBQ headed to the track. Weather looked fine, few clouds in the sky. They started hot lapping to get the track ready. 20 minutes before race time storm developed right over the track. Canceled! So made a 200 mile trip for some BBQ

Edge did good mpg again, can never complain about 25mpg! So far for 5k miles its averaged 21mpg. Couple trips to ft worth and Oklahoma all rest is normal in town.

Racking up the business miles this week -- put over 850 miles on the Escape so far and it's only Tuesday! In Dallas the next couple of days, then making a trip to NOLA and back next week -- socking away the cash and looking for another toy!

Been in Italy for the last two weeks. It's been a one of a kind experience, but now I'm feeling homesick. Everything is so tiny here!! Looking forward to touching down on American soil and getting into a vehicle I actually fit in

Finally got settled down enough to get my password reset for the forum.

Lot's been going on with the truck. Turbos, Intercooler, Exhaust, intake and ported manifolds all done. The truck seems to really haul the mail.

Family is out visiting (took me 10 years to get them out here) and hoped to be able to Dyno the truck while Dad was here, but they don't have an open slot.

I hope everyone is doing well and just so everyone knows, Photobucket sucks!

Haha! That was me in every car and building over there. Even the toilets are too small, but I will refrain from posting pics of that

Hey Pat, I need to replace the front brake pads on the truck. Also replacing the rotors too because they have some deep grooves in them. Can you tell me which Motorcraft part number is the best? I've come across three or four different part numbers that are listed for a 2013 F-150. Also, I've noticed there is a severe duty option. I was considering that because of all the towing I do. Is it okay to put those on a half ton truck?

So assuming we're talking front pads
BR1414 is standard organic pad
BRF1529 is low dust (I assume that means ceramic)
BRSD1414 is severe duty

Also found NBR1414 is premium organic (might be a discontinued version),

I will probably go severe duty and a nice set of slotted rotors when the time comes for mine
