Weather forecasters down here are something else...rain predicted 70% yesterday and we got none. 60% today and none so far with the sun out. Messed up a fishing trip!
Just ordered the trifold bed cover. Auto Anything gave me a swinging deal on it. I think im going to order a bed rug also here in a few weeks. Even though i already bought the thick rubber mat for the bed (shouldve thought about it more, it was a quick 1 minute decision)
Want to get something for the front end for rock chips. I dont really like the AVS or ford bug deflector. Found a hood bra for 60 bucks. Figured maybe just use it for trips only.
Next will probably be a HP Tuner NGauge. Mike spoiled me with that tip in from a redlight. Now i dont feel i can drive a stock tuned truck
Back on track with the local gas not being up to the needs of the 93 octane tune. I did some more datalogging and testing last night. Truck was pulling up to 6* of timing. Mike already has a revision for me to test more with.
That would work real well on my "garage queens" -- since they never get driven in the rain they get more dusty than anything on the undercarriage. Not sure it would have gotten the Ranger to where I would have wanted it since that truck had been daily driven on-and-off over the years.
Finished doing a retrofit tonight on a Saab. Coworker went from 12 year old OEM hazy yellow lens with halogen lights to new housings (clear lenses) plus Kotio BiLED projectors, with additional halogen high beam.
Took the LTD and Ranger in for their state inspections today. Didn't realize how little I had been driving the Ranger these last couple of years -- only a shade over 200 miles on the odometer since my inspection back in June of 2015. Much of that was due to my undercarriage detail, but now that that's finished I'd like to put 350-500 miles on it per year.
Still a lot of projects to get to on the LTD, the primary one being removal of the fuel tank to coat it and rebuild the internals. My fuel gauge only reads occasionally, so I'd like to get that working reliably again.
The '05 F150 could use a good detail and I'd like to finally put my Roush rims on it, but that's about all it needs right now.
Hopefully if my workload stays the way it has been the past month or so I'll finally be able to make some headway on these projects......
