Well it looks like a perfect day to do yard work so I guess I'll have to crank up the zero turn. Will put a quick wash job on the new truck after...first day I got it we had rain driving back but it stays fairly clean with the light gold color. Drove it for the first time at night and it's actually easier to see out of then my '13 F-150 was. Lit up like a North Sea oil rig too!!
Between the height and the overall size, keeping that beast clean will be no easy task.....
Winter is officially over -- I loaded up my firewood and took it over to storage today. This year was a real dud -- I think it was only cold enough to have 2 or 3 fires this winter.....
Spent a couple hours digging in my back yard, got more to do tomorrow, as well as more climbing around in my attic. Was mid 70s outside, and quite warm in the attic this afternoon when I was up there
BIL bought a 17 f150 last week. He went from 2 weeks before saying he dont want a damn v6 to buying a EB
Tell ya that 2nd Gen Eb with the 10 speed is phenomenal. I spent a few hours in it today and drove it for a while and very impressed.
The only thing i didnt like was the start stop and he hates it. It wasnt as smooth of a operation as i thought it would be. I was able to fix it though, went to harbor freight and bought a 4 dollar trailer light connector tester. Plugged it in to the 4 way and the truck thinks it has a trailer and disables the start stop.
He bought it with 8 days ago with 7 miles on it and already has 1100 miles with a average mpg of 18.5.
Yeah -- gotta say that the prospect of having a car with the "start-stop" feature doesn't exactly excite me. However, with CAFE standards being what they are, I'm afraid there will be no way to avoid such "big brother" technologies.....

Even my buddies '16 seems to have more stock pep than my '14. Really nice rig your BIL has there!

Same here..maybe 2 days of cold weather. Got tired of feeding the termites with leftover firewood so we use the fake Duraflame logs which usually end up as firestarters in the pits at the campgrounds! Washed the truck yesterday and took a ride to put on some miles this morning...450 miles on it and getting 15.5 on average. Sweet spot on the highway seems to be around 65 mph running with no load. Took this pic at campground in Morgan City this morning.

Going to be up in Dallas a few days this week training one of our office guys who wants to make the move into the field. On Wednesday morning I'm going to take a little time to go look at an '85 Monte Carlo up in Frisco that supposedly has 5000 original miles on it.
Not sure that I'm in the market for another car, but I've always liked the style of the mid-80's Monte Carlo's -- they were definitely one of the cars me and my buddies lusted after when we were in high school. The only drawback with this one is that it's not an SS model, which I think are more attractive than the luxury-oriented models.....
Am I the only one that doesn't like the decals that comes on the bed of every F150 these days? I took the ones off of mine the first day I had it. Seems like something a 14 year old would stick on a truck. Count me in as "NOT a fan".
