Glad to see everyone's been busy spending my money today.....

I already have a Ranger in my collection so I'd probably have to pass on that one -- although if I ever run across a regular cab/short box version in Redfire Metallic with low miles (10,000 or less) I might bite since that is what I really wanted when I bought mine back in 2009. The only reason I went with the extended cab was because that was the only way I could get the 4.0 SOHC.

I'm sure I'll buy another car at some point, but have no idea what it will end up being -- maybe a new Focus hatchback, maybe a mid-70's GM (Monte Carlo, Cutlass Supreme, Regal?), maybe a '90-'93 Ram, maybe a new Wrangler......???

So many cars, so little garage space.....

Rolled past 65k miles today on my way back from Georgia. I'm considering picking up a second vehicle to keep some of the miles and wear & tear off of the truck. I really love this one, and I have it set up exactly how I want it, so I plan to keep it for quite awhile. I'd like to preserve it a bit so it doesn't have a billion miles on it by the time I get it paid off in 2.5 years.

I might have to join the Cavalier club

Do it! You'll love keeping all the miles off you're truck. I got my truck last November with 28,8xx miles on it and it now has 32,400. Plus it's not getting the hell beat out of it in parking lots.

We're going to need a Cavalier sub forum pretty soon

I had the same thing happen today -- started out on the warm side down in Houston, but by the time I got up to Austin this afternoon I had the temperature **** about halfway between warm and cold and the car was still a little bit chilly! Dare I say, but the breeze was actually cool out on the jobsite.....

Unfortunately, it's likely just a tease as there's at least another solid month of hot weather before the temperatures become tolerable on a daily basis!

Seriously -- every time somebody gives me a hard time for rolling up in the Cavalier all I have to do is think about my "babies" sitting at home in the garage without so much as a nick or a scratch on them and low miles on the odometer and I'm golden!

On top of that, every business trip I take in the Cavalier allows me to bank more "coin" towards my next "fun car" purchase -- sticks and stones, baby.....

The ol EB gave me a scare this evening. Got a call dad had fallen at home and couldn't get up. Jumped in truck and hauled *** over there. Kicked it to the carpet a few times and started hearing a loud air swoosh sound. Got to a stop light and truck didn't want to stop. Got to the house put it in park and it was running 2500 rpm with my foot off the gas. Engine light on.

Got er back home, started looking around and found this

2 possible causes, oil change guy ripped off the engine cover and it disconnected or all that power from the eb just blew it out

She's running just like a new one now.

Absolutely! If it wasn't for my Cavalier the truck would have roughly 110k on it! Instead it's only at 65k.

Rangers in good shape have really kept their value -- they're hard to find in nice condition and without a ton of miles on them and they aren't being made any more so there you have it!
