Yup, we are taxed heavily on fuel, not sure where it all goes...maybe our "Universal Healthcare", lol. We pay an extra 17.5cents per liter just on taxes in my area vs the rest of the country. Cheapest place in the country is Alberta and they are at $0.88 per liter ($3.32 a gal).

I guess our dollar is worth less too, so probably has an impact as we send out the crude, but get back the refined goods.

Finally got a few of the small items ticked off on the truck to-do list. Tint, LED puddle lights, LED mirror marker lights, interior clean up. Even found some Morimoto Fogs on for a good price.

Expect to see the price of gas drop a little bit more. It was just reported that reserve levels are higher than expected. Prices should stay down as oil isn't expected to get above $50 a barrel this month.

Father of the year Alton Sterling who was shot and killed by Baton Rouge police officers. Common street thug who threatened to kill a homeless man with a pistol before the police were called to the scene. He was on probation for weapons violations at the time and had a long rap sheet. If these idiots can ever stay out of trouble they wouldn't get shot by the police. Probably their street thug buddies would kill them first. These kind of people are ruining the country.

Here's another one. The clown that got shot in Minn. by the cop, he was stopped, not for a taillight but because he was suspected of an armed robbery which included his girlfriend. Ya know the one, the one that posted the vid of POS dying and saying they were pulled over for a taillight out. Oh, and another small detail, the conceal carry license he had, was imaginary as he was a convicted criminal with a mile long rap sheet. And when she said that he was reaching to get his CC license, he was going for the gun he had in his lap, the same one he used in the robbery. He was also a Crip. Strange though, you haven't seen this splattered all over the media like when they told the huge lie about him being a cafeteria manager and a real nice guy that everybody loved.

Only if these clowns would have kept their noses clean they probably would have still been alive. The late Mr. Sterling also got a 14 yr old girl pregnant and was a sex offender...oops he forgot to register for that also. Owed over 30K in child support and was selling bootleg CD's to make a living. Probably never filed taxes and supposedly was in possession of a firearm the day he was killed. The media makes him to be an innocent citizen...what a joke!

After six months of heavy rain, my part of Texas has fallen back into a dry weather pattern and I finally had to break down and fire-up the lawn irrigation system today. Went to do a trial run through the cycles this morning only to find out that my controller died sometime after I shut the system down last fall. Ran down to Lowe's and bought a new unit and now we're back in business!

Here's hoping I don't have to water too much this summer -- it sure is nice keeping my water bills down this time of year when my electric bill goes through the roof running the AC unit all summer.....

If the weather cooperates I think I am going to take the LTD out for a run tomorrow morning. Still can't decide if I want to keep this car long-term or if I want to use its slot in my collection for something else. There are so many cool cars I could own -- but my storage situation pretty much limits me to (4) collector cars that I can keep under roof 24/7......

On one hand the LTD is neat just because it is such a low-mileage oddity, but on the other hand a mid-60's Galaxie or something of that nature would probably be much more of a head-turner.....

LOVE the 59 Ford Sunliner. I had one in my sights about 20 years ago that was needing major restoration but it was all there. Red bottom with white, factory Ford marked wire wheels and a continental kit on the back. Remarkably though, the interior just needed a cleaning. Unfortunately the guy that had it was a garage owner and he went out of business when the local city Gov't shut the street down. I looked at it many times over the years as it just sat under a tree behind the garage....then it was gone with all of the other old cars there. One of these days, I'm gonna win the lottery and hurt myself at Barrett-Jackson.
