I love these gens.I've Had a 80 f100 in high school, 83 f250 6.9 diesel, 84 f150 and they were rock solid. The ol 80 model got the crap beat out of it every day. Every other weekend it was run to Acuna mexico wide open most all of the trip pegged out around 90mph and never missed a beat for 2 years. Damn I miss high-school and those Mexico trips . In 02 Had a drunk guy rearend end me in a Chevy 2500 one night and they totalled it out.

What are you thinking about for rims and tires?
I really think once I get a buffer on the paint it's going to come out pretty damn nice. I want something to play around in, if I want to go out to the lake and cruise around its not a big deal to get scratches or mud on it.

I haven't even started looking at wheels yet, if you know of some that would look good let me know.

I'd like to do a little engine work to it, maybe headers, cam etc. Definitely doing some some 373 or 410 gears.
Headed to the exhaust shop this week and doing the carven dual exhaust

Nice truck Coy, I knew you'd be in a 5.0 sooner or later

The Cavalier woke me up pretty quick this morning. I was headed to work at 4:30 this morning goin 70mph and had to hit the brakes pretty hard. The pedal went straight to the floor. All the brake lines on it are new except for the right rear. Looks like my plans changed a little bit for today.

Anything "period correct" would look good on that truck -- slot mags, wagon wheels, etc. Of course, to get that cool look in the photo you'll need to lift it a bit.....

It's already got the 5.0, duh! According to some coyote owners or eb bashers it's still the same motor basically therfore it's tried and true .

All seriousness though coyote swap would be awesome but wouldn't a EB swap be cool too? I've also got the mark Viii also.

I'm getting tired of mine. Time for a little change for a while. At the rate the clear coat is peeling I won't have a car left in 6 months

Started on the trunk lid and it's peeled off alot now starting on the rear bumper and right rear fender. Left rear fender will be starting soon also

It's too hot for yard work! Having to stop about every 20 minutes. High humidity and no air moving.

Same here. Had a storm complex move in from the panhandle this morning. Got 1.5 inches but it's humid and hot.

2 hours in to a simple brake line replacement. Everything's so rusted, there was nothing left of the brake line nuts. Finally got them out then find out the bleeders seized up.

I Took the wheel off, which was another battle, so I could just take the wheel cylinder off and replace it. Now I can't get the drum to come off.

Rusty but trusty isn't all it's cracked up to be

Yesterday and today had to have been two of the most stifling hot days I've ever experienced -- and having lived in Houston for 20 years, that's saying a lot.....

Not sure if it's just the saturation from all the recent rain we've had or what, but the last couple of days have just been oppressive.....
