Back in my 20's I helped restore three of them....nice steel to work with and they seemed a lot beefier than other trucks of the same vintage

There's a guy a few blocks from me that has one of those old Internationals that is in really nice shape! It kills me every time I drive by that he leaves it sitting outside in the elements!

They didn't just seem beefier, they really were. I've seen a few turned into street trucks and they can be very unique. I love the old Ford trucks but have a special regard for the old Internationals, Dodges, and Studebakers.

Just got back from running errands and taking a ride down to Grand Isle (our version of Galveston) 120 miles round trip and got over 20 mpg running the speed limits. Now for some boiling crabs later on!

Rare because they were expensive back in the 30's when the depression was just ending.

Just had a brain fart.. Parked half way in the garage and unloaded the truck, Got my son and carried him in the house ( Broke Leg's Suck) and right before i came in the house i pushed the button to lower the garage door .. Needless to say the door bounced off the top of the truck.. Haven't went out and inspected it yet. Waiting for my blood pressure to drop down a little bit.

I've done something similar on two different occasions to the wife's Escape by trying to close the garage door when the back lift gate was open. The tail edge of the gate sticks out just far enough that the sharp edge of the garage door hinge catches it and puts a nice scratch in the paint.....

I've also done something inversely stupid -- I closed the garage door when the nose of the Cavalier was pulled up a tad too close to the garage door opening and put a rub mark on the "beak" of the bumper. If the car had been even 1/4" further back into the driveway it would have just missed the door as it came down.....

Didn't Plymouth re-badge some Dodge trucks back in the late 70's as well.....??? I want to say they made a Plymouth variation of the "Little Red Wagon" that Dodge had for a few years at the end of the decade, along with a version of the Ramcharger SUV.....???
