Let's start over......
Wife called, yard and streets are flooded. I just checked, a couple of the roads I use to get home are closed. Gonna have to take a longer way home. She was up all night worrying about the flooding. Says she thinks we got 4-5 inches on already saturated area.

We had that 6 inch storm in 90 minutes last week, filled up lake Nasworthy, within 2 days most all had soaked in. Since then just a few half inch to inch storms. Last night got 1 1/2 inch and it still soaks right in to the yard.
We have been getting 1 to 2 1/2 inches daily for about 10 days. There was already standing water everywhere, all streams and ponds full. Then got heavy rainfall last night, more expected this afternoon.

Catch any nice crawfish with all that rain?
Last week when we were down at my daughters, we were all going to their home from Sugar Land about 10:00 at night(about 18 miles south on rural highways). There was an 8 to 9 foot alligator crossing the road. Son in law got out and encouraged him with a stick to get on across.

The thing that's funny is that really is the way they talk! There's a mom at my son's Tae Kwon Do class who is from some little town south of Lafeyette and when she's get going in her Cajun tongue you just kind of step back and look at her and say, "Girl, where'd you learn to talk like that?!"
